NFL 2020 week three predictions

NFL 2020 Week Three Predictions

Things are heating up in the NFL with the big guns looking strong already with even a few nice surprise results thrown in. No doubt about it, Monday nights match up between the Chiefs and the Ravens is a mouth watering prospect. This is how I think that game and the rest of week 3 will go down:

Here are my NFL Week Three Predictions:

Miami Dolphins @ Jacksonville Jaguars

Will we see Tua Tagovialoa start for the Dolphins for this one? Probably not. And with Gardner Minshew looking to build on his impressive start to the season I can only the Jags outscoring their opposition here.

Dolphins 24 Jaguars 34

Houston Texans @ Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers are 2-0 so far this season while the Texans are 0-2. This doesn’t tell the whole story though as Houston has definitely had the tougher schedule so far. That said, the Texans know a defeat here can be very costly for their seasons hopes and the nerves will be kicking in.

Texans 17 Steelers 21

Los Angeles Rams @ Buffalo Bills

After wins over the Jets and the Dolphins, the Bills are in for their first real test against the Rams. The Rams have looked impressive so far in their 2 wins. This one could really go either way.

Rams 31 Bills 27

San Francisco 49ers @ New York Giants

49ers will be without star quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo when they travel to the big apple. The Giants are showing some positive signs but really need a win if they want to salvage something from this season. Losing Saquon Barkley for the season is a huge blow. This could be another tight game.

49ers 20 Giants 23

Cincinnati Bengals @Philadelphia Eagles

A 0-3 is facing one of these teams in the face already this weekend. For the Bengals this was half expected but I am sure the Eagles would have had higher aspirations. Strangely enough the Bengals haven’t looked as bad as the Eagles in the first two weeks. I still think Philadelphia have the better roster though.

Bengals 10 Eagles 21

Las Vegas Raiders @ New England Patriots

The Patriots lost last week to the Seahawks but they still look like a highly competitive outfit this year with Cam Newton passing well. The Raiders meanwhile looked strong in their win against the Saints and will look at this as a great chance to go 3-0. I can see the Raiders sneaking this one – just.

Raiders 27 Patriots 23

Tennessee Titans @ Minnesota Vikings

The Vikings have not got off to the start they wanted. With this talented roster it’s unthinkable they can go 0-3 after this game. Kirk Cousins can still turn things around even though they have to start against a tight nut to crack in the Titans.

Titans 28 Vikings 31

Washington Football Team @ Cleveland Browns

The Browns finally showed some signs that this squad can pull together and produce the goods. This is a great chance for Baker Mayfiend and OBJ to build on last weeks win against a team they really should be too strong for. In saying that Ron Rivera’s side have been no pushovers so far.

Washington 17 Browns 31

Chicago Bears @ Atlanta Falcons

The results have not been there for the Falcons so far despite having plenty of firepower that can hurt any team. Unfortunately for them the defense isn’t looking too hot. Matt Ryan will fancy this one though. The Bears have had the results so far but will struggle against an offense like the Falcons.

Bears 27 Falcons 34

Carolina Panthers @ Los Angeles Chargers

It will be interesting to see if the Chargers stick with rookie Justin Herbert for this one after his impressive debut last week. Christian McCaffrey will likely be missing for Panthers and that may prove the difference between the teams.

Panthers 28 Chargers 20

New York Jets @ Indianapolis Colts

The Jets defense is going to take a pounding this season. The first two outings have already looked shaky and it’s only going to get worse against the Colts. Philip Rivers will be happy to be coming up against the Jets this week after showing signs of improvement in a win against the Vikings last week.

Jets 24 Colts 34

Dallas Cowboys @ Seattle Seahawks

Two teams full of confidence after big late wins last week. This will be tight but I still think the Cowboys are going to come good this season and have a squad bursting with talent. The Seahawks might lose this one but will still be hoping for a good season.

Cowboys 20 Seahawks 17

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Denver Broncos

The Drew Lock injury is a big blow for the Broncos. Replacement QB Jeff Driskel now has to face a tough defense as he tries to find his feet. The Buccaneers looked better last week after a poor week one showing. Is Brady still the same player? probably not but he still has enough to influence these types of games.

Buccaneers 31 Broncos 21

Detroit Lions @ Arizona Cardinals

Kyler Murray is quickly building a reputation that will one day soon match his peers Jackson and Mahomes. With the young quarterback’s ability, this Cardinals team are turning into one that should be respected. The Lions were fancied to make progress this year but I can’t see them being able to stop this Cardinals defense.

 Lions 17 Cardinals 27

Green Bay Packers @ New Orleans Saints

OK so this will be billed as the Aaron Rodgers v Drew Brees show. Two legendary quarterbacks going head to head, carrying their teams yet again. The reality is that it’s the running backs who are the real talent in these current line ups. Who has the better offensive weapons? probably the Packers.

Packers 34 Saints 24

Kansas City Chiefs @ Baltimore Ravens

Do Monday nights get any better than this? Packers v Saints might have the legendary quarterbacks facing off. But this game has the new generation of QB’s and how exciting are they? A defeat for either side won’t be the end of the world and it could go either way. So let’s just sit back and watch the action unfold. It’s criminal that fans won’t be in the stadium to witness this blockbuster.

Chiefs 30 Ravens 27
