NFL 2020 Week eight predictions

NFL 2020 Week Eight Predictions

After 7 exciting weeks the Steelers are the last team left with no defeats. Can they continue this form into this weeks tough fixture against the Ravens? Another tough one to call is the improving Browns up against the Raiders. A few surprises will also no doubt be on the cards this week.

Here are my NFL 2020 Week Eight Predictions:

Atlanta Falcons @ Carolina Panthers

It’s unlikely anyone would have predicted the Falcons to be sitting at 1-6 at this stage in the season but here they are. It’s not like they have been terrible every week but they just don’t seem to know how to hold on to a lead. The Panthers have faired slightly better and were unlucky in a close loss to the Saints last week.

Falcons 18 Panthers 24

New York Jets @ Kansas City Chiefs

I give the Jets a hard time every week and also predict them to get beat easily every week. I haven’t been too wrong so far and with the Chiefs waiting for them this week I can only see another heavy loss I am afraid.

Jets 10 Chiefs 37

Los Angeles Rams @ Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins now surprisingly sit at 3-3 and will turn to rookie quarterback Tua Tagovailoa to improve them further. It’s a tough ask though as they face a Rams side fresh from a nice victory over the Bears. Rams defense is just a bit strong for the Dolphins here.

Rams 24 Dolphins 10

Minnesota Vikings @ Green Bay Packers

1-5 Vikings go to 5-1 Packers on Sunday and Aaron Rodgers loves playing against off form teams. The Vikings defense is shaky to say the least and they will have no answer for the Packers here.

Vikings 16 Packers 35

Indianapolis Colts @ Detroit Lions

Neither side has been outstanding so far but they both still have a shot at a wild card place. The Colts have a strong defense while the Lions have racked up a lot of points recently, making this a hard one to call. But the Lions will edge it.

Colts 20 Lions 27

Las Vegas Raiders @ Cleveland Browns

Losing wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. for the season is a huge blow for the Browns. Baker Mayfield will have to step up again if Cleveland wants to push for the play-offs. The Raiders sitting 3-3 have just not shown any consistency and I just think the Browns will want this one more.

Raiders 34 Browns 37

Tennessee Titans @ Cincinnati Bengals

The Titans lost a tight game to the Steelers last week but they won’t lose too much sleep and know they are still one of the top teams this year. The Bengals have an amazing quarterback in Joe Burrows but his team are not giving him enough help at the moment.

Titans 35 Bengals 20

New England Patriots @ Buffalo Bills

After coming out all guns blazing, the Bills look like they are slowing down and just scraped past an awful Jets team last week. The Patriots new look team have had a stop start kind of season that never looks like it is going to get going. Cam Newton looked like their answer a few weeks back but he is not looking like his old self. It’s a tough one to call but I think the Patriots might just have enough to get over the line.

Patriots 27 Bills 24

Pittsburgh Steelers @ Baltimore Ravens

Without a doubt game of the week takes place in Baltimore as the 6-1 Raven host the 7-0 Steelers. Lamar Jackson has maybe not hit the same heights as Ben Roethlisberger so far, but I think we see the best of him and the Ravens in this one.

Steelers 34 Ravens 37

Dallas Cowboys @ Philadelphia Eagles

The Cowboys woes continued last week with a humiliating defeat to Washington. The Eagles meanwhile had a narrow victory over the Giants with Carson Wentz continuing to improve. He will no doubt get the better of this Cowboys defense.

Cowboys 20 Eagles 35

Los Angeles Chargers @ Denver Broncos

Two 2-4 sides go head to head in a game that might not excite the neutral fans much. But it will be interesting to see Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert in action again and I think he can be the difference between the two teams.

Chargers 23 Broncos 18

San Francisco 49ers @ Seattle Seahawks

A few weeks ago this might have looked like a straight forward Seahawks win. But the 49ers have turned things round with back to back wins while Russell Wilson had an off day as Seattle suffered their first defeat to the Cardinals. I suspect this will be a high scoring game but Wilson won’t have two bad games in a row.

49ers 29 Seahawks 39

New Orleans Saints @ Chicago Bears

The Bears will probably be happy sitting at 5-2 at this point in the season but they are just too inconsistent to push on to better things. The Saints had a good win against the Panthers last week to go 4-2 and I can see them going on a bit of a run now.

Saints 27 Bears 18

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ New York Giants

Tom Brady is back to top form and that is bad news for the rest of the league. It’s really bad news for the Giants who went 1-6 last week after a tight loss to the Eagles. Defensively the Giants are actually not too bad but this is a step too far for them offensively.

Buccaneers 21 Giants 10
