Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady spoke with reporters regarding his 11-day absence from camp, and his reasoning was nothing short of exceptionally relatable.
Earlier this month, Tom Brady left the Buccaneers‘ training camp and did not address the media for several days following it. Naturally, NFL fans were curious as to why the future Hall of Famer elected to leave camp so suddenly. He of course temporarily retired during the offseason, so that only added to the speculation around his absence.
Yet, Brady finally spoke with the media on Saturday and has cleared the air regarding his absence in a rather memorable way.
The superstar simply had this to say: “I’m 45 years old, man. There’s a lot of sh*t going on.”

Sometimes it’s easy to forget that professional athletes and celebrities have lives outside of their careers. This can especially be the case with a seven-time Super Bowl winner like Brady, but this quote by him certainly could help remedy this.
Although Brady did not specify what exactly is occurring off the field, all we can do is hope that things have been resolved on that front. Now the San Mateo native is back at camp and is ready to go for the 2022 regular season from here.
It will be intriguing to see how Brady performs for the Buccaneers during his 23rd NFL season. With him leading the charge, the Buccaneers are once again viewed as Super Bowl contenders, so let’s see if he can successfully get his 8th ring from here.
