Robinson wasn’t even on the recruiting radar out of high school because he grew up in Canada. His dad played for 10 years in the CFL, so Robinson grew up with a strong Canadian football background.
Following high school, Robinson played college football in Canada for two years. As a freshman in the Ontario University Athletics Conference, Robinson recorded 26 tackles, four sacks, and one forced fumble. In his sophomore season, he registered 39 tackles and 8.5 sacks in 10 games.
After two years in Canada, Robinson sought to up his game and play football in the United States, so he transferred to Ole Miss.

COVID mired Robinson’s first season south of the Canadian border. He appeared in 10 games, recording 18 total tackles and one sack. In his senior year, Robinson played in 11 games, and he amassed 28 total tackles and 3.5 sacks.
Despite having played four years in college, Robinson chose not to enter the 2022 NFL Draft. Instead, he exercised his extra year of COVID eligibility and returned to Ole Miss for the 2022 season.
As a fifth-year senior, Robinson had his best season in the NCAA, totaling 43 total tackles, six sacks, and four forced fumbles.
Overall, during his time at Ole Miss, Robinson racked up 89 total tackles, 13 tackles for loss, 10.5 sacks, and four forced fumbles.
Tony Pauline’s Scouting Report for Tavius Robinson
Strengths: Athletic DL prospect who plays with solid pad level, effectively uses his hands, and keeps his feet moving. Easily moves about the field, displays speed in lateral pursuit, and gets outside the numbers to make plays. Plays off blocks to defend the run and uses his hands to protect himself.
Weaknesses: Inconsistent getting off the snap. Must do a better job of consistently playing with leverage. Gets stood up at the point by a single blocker. Never really lived up to expectations.
Overall: Robinson is a bit of an enigma. At times, he plays like a dominant defensive end. Yet, in too many instances, he’s canceled from the action by a single blocker. Robinson possesses the size, growth potential, and athleticism to start in the NFL, but he must elevate every aspect of his game and be much more consistent on the field.

Ole Miss EDGE Tavius Robinson Current Draft Projection
On Tony Pauline’s Big Board, Robinson ranks 379th overall and is projected to go undrafted. With a 3.18 grade, he is Pauline’s DE27 in this class.
Robinson’s path to the NFL is obviously unconventional, given that he grew up in Canada. Though he has three years of experience playing college football, he’s far from a complete player.
Collegiate production is the best predictive indicator of NFL success, and Robinson simply didn’t post very impressive numbers during any of his seasons at Ole Miss.

He’s a good athlete, and that athleticism has carried him thus far. But he will need to refine his technique if he’s going to succeed at the next level. Unfortunately, Robinson may not even get that chance.
Pauline has three defensive ends projected to go undrafted that are graded higher than Robinson. He should get a shot as a UDFA, but it’s entirely possible he doesn’t.
Ultimately, Robinson has to hope an NFL team is willing to work with him to mold his athletic abilities into a capable EDGE. Simply earning a spot on an active roster would be a success.
