Fans of the Minnesota Vikings were treated to a different side of Kirk Cousins courtesy of Netflix — including examining his home life during the filming of “Quarterback.”
Where does Cousins live? And what was one part of the house that gave him what he described as a deep appreciation of where he lives?
Kirk Cousins Lives in Southern Edge of the Twin Cities
Cousins and his family live in Rosemount, Minnesota, which is located approximately 30 minutes south of U.S. Bank Stadium.
Fans not familiar with the Rosemount community will know that it’s an affluent town of not even 30,000 people. The Rosemount Ice Arena is considered one of the main attractions of the city, as it’s known for hockey and figure skating. The city is also in between the Minnesota Zoo and Dakota County Technical College.
The final episode of the critically acclaimed series, though, gives audiences an idea of how long the trek is for Cousins after home Vikings games. One of the more telling scenes is when he’s driving back home with his wife following the playoff loss to the New York Giants — where Cousins is lamenting what could have been. But viewers get taken on a long journey down Highway 55 to Cousins’ home.
While on the affluent side, Rosemount is known for its agriculture and is considered a fast-growing city per the town’s website.

Feature That Gives Cousins Appreciation
Unlike Patrick Mahomes, who had his house under construction, the Cousins limited how much of their house they were willing to share in front of the Netflix cameras. However, there was one aspect of the home that gave the Vikings Pro Bowler a unique appreciation: A heated garage.
It’s a rare feature that’s not common for a majority of houses across the U.S. Cousins, though, took to Twitter to appreciate that feature of his Rosemount home.
“This is the first year I’ve ever lived in a home with a heated garage…absolute game changer in the morning when I leave for work. Highly recommend it ha,” Cousins said in a tweet.
Cousins Also Has Offseason Residence in His College Home State
Turns out the Cousins aren’t just Rosemount residents. The Minnesota QB and his family have a three-story private adobe that’s near Lake Michigan. It also puts Cousins in his college home state — where Cousins starred for the Michigan State Spartans before becoming an NFL Draft pick.
Per Sportskeeda, the price of this venue was $2 million. It expands out to 11,000 square feet. Furthermore, the venue has four bedrooms, the same number of bathrooms, and lastly, offers a breathtaking view of Lake Michigan — which makes this residence a lake house.
