Derek Carr throws 200th touchdown pass in Week 5 vs. Chiefs: Best tweets, memes

Las Vegas Raiders quarterback Derek Carr threw his 200th career touchdown pass on Monday Night Football against the Kansas City Chiefs.

The Las Vegas Raiders got their first win of the season in Week 4 against the Denver Broncos. They wanted to make it to wins in a row, as they visited the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday Night football.

It did not take long for the Raiders to get on the scoreboard, as quarterback Derek Carr connected with wide receiver Davante Adams on a 58-yard touchdown pass. It was an easy throw for Carr, because Adams ran right past cornerback Rashad Fenton for a wide open lane to the end zone.

That throw was Carr’s 200th career touchdown pass, and it happened on Monday Night Football, against the team’s division rival, and the player who caught it was Adams, his former college teammate at Fresno State.

Twitter reacts to Raiders QB Derek Carr throwing 200th career touchdown pass

Various Twitter users shared their thoughts on Carr reaching this career milestone.

As some pointed out, Adams threw the football directly into the stands of GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. One has to wonder if that football was tracked down by the Raiders and if it was retrieved.

The Raiders selected Carr in the second-round of the 2014 NFL Draft, and he has been with the team ever since. In fact, this offseason, the team signed him to a three-year, $121.5 million contract extension. This was after the team made the playoffs last year, and brought in Adams in a trade with the Green Bay Packers.

Carr is already the Raiders’ all-time leader in passing yards and touchdown passes, but he officially became the only quarterback in franchise history to throw for 200 touchdowns.

IN the beginning of Monday Night Football, Carr made history.
