It’s terrifying to think how close the NFL might have come to losing a young player like Robinson.
Hopefully, he will be able to come through this trauma and get his career going as soon as possible. For now, he will need to focus on recovery with the Washington and football communities supporting him.
The Commanders selected Robinson in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft. He played football for Alabama, earning All-SEC first-team honors with 1,343 yards and 14 touchdowns as a senior in 2021 for the Crimson Tide.
He had 14 carries in two preseason games, totaling 57 yards and one touchdown while earning early praise from head coach Ron Rivera for his downhill rushing ability.
