Tyreek Hill has hilarious reaction to Jalen Ramsey trade

Tyreek Hill was one of the first Dolphins players to publicly react to the Jalen Ramsey trade, using an emoji he probably has never used before.

So this is the whale the Miami Dolphins were after: former Los Angeles Rams cornerback Jalen Ramsey.

After clearing up a huge chunk of cap space in contract restructures, the Dolphins traded a 2023 third-rounder and tight end Hunter Long for the Pro Bowl corner in a deal that seems to favor Miami over Los Angeles. A third-round pick? That’s it? In any case, Ramsey will likely get the long-term contract he wants on the Dolphins, and at least one Dolphins player is very excited to welcome Ramsey to the team.

Tyreek Hill, who allowed his contract to be restructured to save the team $18 million against the cap, posted a cute message on Twitter revealing how happy he was about the trade.

We’re not sure we’ve ever seen Hill use the “puppy eyes watering” emoji, so this could be a first.

Dolphins’ Tyreek Hill is ready to smoke Jalen Ramsey in practice

Just a month ago at the Pro Bowl, then-NFC player Ramsey shoulder-checked Hill near the goal line to try to prevent a touchdown. Hill probably hasn’t forgotten that hit, and you can’t help but wonder if the Dolphins’ practices are going to get a little chirpier now.

Ramsey, who won the Super Bowl in 2021, has been loitering on the trade block for months now and landed on a team with more championship-winning mettle this season than the Los Angeles “Screw ’em picks” Rams.

The long-time LA corner will join former All-Pro Xavien Howard in the backfield; Miami also has potential franchise cornerstone pieces in linebacker Bradley Chubb and tackle Terron Armstead, not to mention Hill, Jaylen Waddle, and Tua Tagovailoa forming their offensive core.

Did it hurt for Hill to see Patrick Mahomes go out and win a ring without him in 2022? Maybe. But he won’t ever admit that.

Hill himself has plenty to look forward to in 2023 as Miami aggressively builds a complete and talented roster capable of throwing punches with the Kansas City Chiefs and other AFC heavyweights.

The Dolphins now sit and wait for a potentially earth-shattering AFC East move which could see Aaron Rodgers joining the New York Jets. If that happens, this division is going to be something else.
