Skip Bayless feels sorry for Dak Prescott in latest Cowboys hype video

FOX Sports’ Skip Bayless got up close and personal when bragging about the Dallas Cowboys’ Week 4 win.

The Dallas Cowboys were essentially given their last rites after Week 1 once starting quarterback Dak Prescott suffered a fractured right thumb. With Cooper Rush getting the start, there was no faith that the Cowboys would remain afloat for however long Prescott was sidelined. Rush did lead the Cowboys to back-to-back wins over the Cincinnati Bengals and New York Giants. In Week 4, Rush did it again.

Rush is now a perfect 4-0 as Cowboys starting quarterback, as he led the team to a 25-10 win over the Washington Commanders. In the game, Rush completed 15-of-27 pass attempts for 223 yards and two touchdowns.

After the game, FOX Sports’ personality and diehard Cowboys fan Skip Bayless got up close and personal with his Twitter followers. Specifically to say “I told you about Cooper Rush.” But also, to express that he feels “sorry for Dak Prescott.”

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has said that he hopes that there is a quarterback controversy with Rush filling in for Prescott. While it is unlikely that the team would continue to start Rush once Prescott is healthy, it does give the Cowboys the luxury of not rushing his return.

The Cowboys trailed 7-6 after a 10-yard touchdown pass from Carson Wentz to rookie wide receiver Jahan Dotson. But on the following drive, the Cowboys marched down the field, and Rush connected with Michael Gallup for a five-yard touchdown to give Dallas a 12-7 lead. This was Gallup’s first game back since tearing his ACL late last season.

With the team up 15-7, Rush hit wide receiver CeeDee Lamb for a 30-yard touchdown reception early in the fourht quarter to extend their lead.

The Cowboys are 3-0 since Week 1. If Prescott is not given the okay to play in Week 5, it will be Rush facing off against the Los Angeles Rams and their vaunted defense.
