PointsBet Sportsbook is showing mercy on Russell Wilson 2022 NFL MVP sports bettors.
Let’s just say the first two Denver Broncos games under Russell Wilson have been mostly bad.
For all of those in Broncos Country who decided to ride with Wilson into the kitchen, watching Russ cook has been a bad time. Not only does he have no clue how to cook at altitude, but his sous chef Nathaniel Hackett can’t hack it. These boys are putting a Pop-Tart in the microwave with the wrapper still on it. Denver might be 1-1, but few teams have looked worse through two weeks…
So if you placed a bet at PointsBet Sportsbook on Wilson winning MVP, you are getting a mulligan.
When Let’s Ride becomes Let’s Fade: Feel free to be against Russell Wilson now
While there were people who were all-in on the Broncos this offseason, there were others who had major reservations about what was taking place. Look. This franchise had to make a big splash. Not since Peyton Manning rode off into the sunset has this team been a playoff squad. 2015 was a long time ago. Von Miller has already won another Super Bowl, so let that sink in.
Sure, the idea of pairing Wilson with an offensive-minded coach in Hackett sounded good in theory, but this does not look like it is going to end well for Denver. They play in an incredibly tough division already. It feels like they are at a coaching disadvantage every fall Sunday. Wilson was expected to be the deodorant to cover the stench up. Instead, he has become part of the problem.
There is nothing wrong with the Broncos organization or the players on the roster, but you have to think Wilson viewing Hackett as his equal is a bit odd. He may really believe that, but it really says something much deeper. Wilson viewing it as an equal partnership indicates that he thinks he is better than Hackett. Again, he might be, but he sure is not playing like it. What a complete disaster.
No, this will not be the year that Wilson gets his first official NFL MVP vote, as Russ looks cooked.
