Former Dallas Cowboys coach Jason Garrett called the Philadelphia Eagles the ‘best team in football’ after going 3-0 following Week 3.
Former Dallas Cowboys head coach and current NBC analyst Jason Garrett had high praise for the Philadelphia Eagles after they moved to 3-0 in Week 3 with a 24-8 victory over the Washington Commanders.
According to Jon Machota of The Athletic, Garrett stated on NBC’s Football Night in America, “I think Philadelphia is the best team in football right now.”
The Eagles are definitely having a good start to the season. Philadelphia and the Miami Dolphins are the only two undefeated teams so far this season. The Eagles went through a lot of roster construction, and it’s proving to be working in their favor.
They added some great players to the roster such as A.J. Brown, Haason Reddick and Jordan Davis. They also have some impactful returning players such as Jalen Hurts and DeVonta Smith. The roster could, of course, still use some work. However, it may maximize their success for 2022.
It’s too early in the season to tell who is truly the best team in the league, but the Eagles are certainly contenders to be the best.
The Eagles could truly be the best team in the NFL
As stated earlier, it’s too early in the regular season to truly know who is the best team in the league. However, by the looks of it, Philadelphia and Miami are two of the most impactful teams emerging in the 2022 season.
The Eagles have had fairly easy matchups, with the closest score in Week 1 against the Detroit Lions. Philadelphia pulled off a 38-35 win, and they’ve pulled off slightly larger wins in weeks two and three.
Philadelphia, however, didn’t face the most difficult teams in the league, so it hasn’t been a full test of their ability yet. The Dolphins, on the other hand, pulled a win against the Buffalo Bills in Week 3, which was significant in showing what they’re capable of.
Sure, the Eagles could be the best team in the NFL considering they’re undefeated and they have a pretty good roster, but only time will tell if they can continue their success further down the road.
