Week 3 of the fantasy football season is here, and you’re going to want to keep an eye on these matchups to exploit in your lineups this week.

Whether you’re playing standard fantasy football or doing daily lineups on DraftKings or FanDuel, matchups are essential in setting your lineup. Fantasy football is unpredictable, but the best thing we can all do is guess.

Though it’s not a guarantee that a player will exploit a good on-paper matchup, it certainly gives you the advantage. In theory, good players can exploit good matchups, and you want the edge in your competition. Let’s take a look at some this week.

Best matchups in fantasy football Week 3

5. Tyler Higbee, TE, Los Angeles Rams (vs. Arizona Cardinals)

Tyler Higbee has quietly been a target monster, getting 20 looks through two games. Though Cooper Kupp is far and away the top option in the offense, Higbee seems to have held off Allen Robinson and remains the number two. If he’s able to be more efficient with his catches (just 9.2 yards per catch) he will soon become a legitimate option at tight end. The only other concern is that the Rams offense has not looked as great as it has in the past.

The Cardinals have been burned two weeks in a row by the opposing team’s tight end. Granted, the two tight ends were Travis Kelce and Darren Waller. But them being able to exploit a matchup should give us a good idea about how Arizona can cover tight ends. Higbee should be in lineups this week as a high-volume option with a good matchup.
