Peyton and Eli Manning will be back once again for ESPN‘s ManningCast in the 2023 NFL season. As the duo looks to embark on Year 3 as the ever-popular alternative broadcast of Monday Night Football, they are hilariously looking for a third member to join their team for the new season.
The stars were out for this one as everyone from Tom Brady and Mike McDaniel to Livvy Dunne and Lil Wayne “auditioned” for the part. Ultimately it looks as if the role is unsettled at this time, but the commercial was a hilarious way to get us all ready for the alternative broadcast that is coming back once again in 2023.

One thing has been clear since the Manning brothers’ careers ended: Neither is afraid of some light-hearted humor directed toward himself. The commercial starts off with Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff making a not-so-subtle jab at the show’s popularity.
The next man up for the audition was Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins playing into his “YOU LIKE THAT” mantra he has become so remembered for.
The commercial then followed up with the Denver Broncos’ Sean Payton, Los Angeles Rams’ Sean McVay, and Miami Dolphins’ Mike McDaniel hilariously telling the two of them that they are “terrible evaluators” and that they should “go f**k yourself.”
Sprinkled in between the coaches was Jets running back Dalvin Cook making a funny jab at their wardrobe choices.
On the entertainment side, musical entrepreneur DJ Khaled came in with his trademark sayings, followed by Mike Tyson to let the Mannings know they both have very punchable faces. Even actress Reese Witherspoon video conferences right before LSU athlete and TikTok star Livvy Dunne asks Peyton and Eli if they actually know what TikTok is.
Following Dunne is a legendary musician and one of Skip Bayless’ new TV hosts, Lil Wayne, and media sensation Pat McAfee, who stated this job may not be for him after all.
Last but certainly not least, the commercial wraps up with Brady telling someone on the phone he doesn’t think he got the job before suggesting he should just go play football again.
With all the star power and hilarious moments throughout the two-minute-long commercial, it is hard to pick out what was the best part. However, one thing is clear: If this is what the promotion is going to look like, we are all in for a treat this year during the actual broadcasts.
