Is Kenny Pickett Married? Everything To Know About Pickett’s Wife Amy Paternoster

As of June 2023, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett is married. But how did Pickett go about getting his first ring?

Who Is Kenny Picket’s New Wife Amy Paternoster?

Amy Paternoster needs very little introduction. She has made an impressive name for herself as a collegiate athlete.

Paternoster attended and played soccer at Princeton University. She was Academic All-Ivy in 2021, the Gatorade New Jersey Girls Soccer Player of the Year, and was All-American and on the All-State team twice.

Don’t mistake Paternoster for just being a pretty face and athlete, though. She’s also an intellectual — graduating with a bachelor’s in economics and a certificate in finance.

Paternoster was a full-time athlete, student, and intern all at once. She had many impressive internship placements, such as at Goldman Sachs, as an undergraduate student.

Paternoster is currently employed as a private equity associate in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Where Did Pickett and Paternoster Meet?

The couple has known each other since they were 12 (Pickett) and 10 (Paternoster). The couple grew up in the same town and were both involved in sports, so they ran into each other frequently, working out at the same gym since they were preteens.

The couple’s love for sports and mutual hometown have bonded them. In a modern-day love story, the two ran across each other at a party in their hometown during a college break.

Pickett, of course, attended the University of Pittsburgh, so the two hadn’t seen each other in a while. Distance makes the heart grow fonder, at least in this case.

Once the two had reunited, things moved quickly. Pickett and Paternoster began dating in 2021, and Pickett knew what he wanted right away, according to his interview with People:

“I knew when I first started dating Amy that I wanted to marry her, now that the day is here, it’s really special to get to spend the rest of your life with the person that means the world to you.”

Pickett would pop the question in 2022, and the couple sealed the deal in holy matrimony one year later.

The Special Day

Pickett and Paternoster had a dream wedding. They tied the knot at the Pleasantdale Chateau in the Garden State and exchanged personal vows in front of 275 family and friends.

In the most football-themed thing ever, the couple had the Steelers’ chaplain, Kent Chevalier, officiate their wedding. Paternoster’s dress was designed by creator Galia Lahav and purchased at Bridal Reflections on 5th Avenue in New York City.

The couple hired a mixologist who created specialty cocktails, a Steelers ice sculpture, and a marlin ice sculpture.

Lobster was not the only thing on the menu. They had sushi, an Italian station, a raw station, pasta, ribeye, and traditional Cuban dishes in honor of Amy’s background — you name it, they had it.

After all you could eat of dinner, guests were treated to a three-round dessert and food trucks galore for the after-party. The Picketts made sure no one went hungry.

How did Amy feel about becoming Mrs. Pickett pre-wedding? She told People:

“As cheesy as it sounds, I can’t wait to marry him and have that moment between us. Of course, the party is going to be awesome celebrating with your loved ones, but you only get married once and go through the ceremony once so I’m looking forward to having that moment with Kenny.”

Not cheesy at all, Amy. What a cute couple!
