3 teams whose Super Bowl odds will improve by signing DeAndre Hopkins

Breaking news hit the NFL world on Friday when it was announced that DeAndre Hopkins has been released by the Arizona Cardinals.

There were rumors that DeAndre Hopkins wanted a split from the Cardinals, with most people assuming a trade would happen at some point. Now, instead of a trade, Hopkins will have his choice of where he ends up.

Hopkins recently stated on the “I Am Athlete” podcast that he’s want to play with Josh Allen, Jalen Hurts, Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, or Justin Herbert.

So, let’s take a look at three of those teams who would benefit the most from signing DeAndre Hopkins.

3 teams whose Super Bowl odds would improve by signing Hopkins

Chiefs +600

The Kansas City Chiefs are already the Super Bowl favorites at +600, but the one hole you could point to on their roster is the receiver position.

As of writing this article, their starting receivers include Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Kadarius Toney, and Skyy Moore. Not exactly a receiving core that gets you excited.

So, adding a guy with the pedigree of Hopkins could fill the final hole of theirs and shorten their odds to win back-to-back Super Bowls even further.

Bills +900

The Buffalo Bills were listed as the betting favorites to win the Super Bowl ahead of the 2022 season, but now they’re listed third behind both the Chiefs and Eagles. One way they could narrow the gap between those two teams is adding a strong No. 2 receiving option.

Their top receiving option is one of the best in the NFL in Stefon Diggs, but they’ve missed a true No. 2 option. Gabe Davis is currently their second option, but he would thrive much more as a deep threat No. 3 option.

If the Bills can add Hopkins, they should be considered right up there with the Chiefs as a serious Super Bowl contender.

Ravens +2000

The Lamar Jackson ordeal with the Baltimore Ravens has finally been sorted out, and now he’s back with the team with a new contract extension.

As a result, the Ravens are doing their best to surround him with as many weapons as possible. They signed Odell Beckham Jr. and Drafted Zay Flowers in the first round of the NFL Draft and while those options are nice, one more receiver would be the cherry on top for the Ravens.

That’s where DeAndre Hopkins can step in. Not only would he be another weapon for the Ravens, but the veteran can provide leadership to the young receivers in the lineup, including Flowers and Rashod Bateman.

If the Ravens sign Hopkins, expect Baltimore’s Super Bowl odds to be on the move.

Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.
