The Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Chargers are among the NFL teams that should be on upset alert ahead of their Week 7 matchups.

Time flies when you’re having fun and the 2022 NFL season is no exception. Outside of three teams (the Buffalo Bills, Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles), it feels like any team in the league can win or lose on any given Sunday, which makes the season extremely entertaining.

The upsets have also been coming at a ridiculously fast pace, with the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers among last week’s upset victims. Let’s take a look at three more teams that should be on upset alert ahead of Week 7, beginning with the Los Angeles Chargers.

3. NFL Teams That Should Be On Upset Alert In Week 7 – Los Angeles Chargers

Monday night’s game wasn’t pretty for the Chargers but they did escape overtime with a 19-16 win over the Denver Broncos at home. The victory helped the Chargers improve to 4-2 on the year but they have been playing sluggish football for the better part of a month now.

Injuries have been a big part of the problem as Justin Herbert is playing with fractured ribs and several other key contributors are either out for the season or gone for a few weeks. When you add in some big-ticket imports flopping, such as cornerback J.C. Jackson, and it feels like a minor miracle the Chargers are currently in a playoff position.

Los Angeles is home again on Sunday and favored by 6.5 points over the Seattle Seahawks, who have significantly overachieved to get to 3-3 on the season. Geno Smith has had the passing game humming for Seattle and has the weapons to exploit the Chargers’ secondary, making this game a dangerous one if Los Angeles comes out flat on a short week.
