NFL quarterbacks to look out for

3 NFL Quarterbacks who will produce the goods in 2020

The march to the opening week of the 2020 NFL season continues to move along as we enter the middle of August. While most of the offseason hype and even summer hype has been around the two reigning MVP’s, Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson, the big question mark entering the 2020 NFL season, is which of the next wave of young quarterbacks that enter the league during the 2020 NFL draft will take a big stride forward this season.

In all 13 quarterbacks were drafted including two quarterbacks that started for the Alabama Crimson Tide over the past few seasons. Those two quarterbacks are Jalen Hurts who elected to transfer to Oklahoma last season and Tua Tagovailoa who saw his final season with the Crismon Tide derailed by injuries. Nonetheless both of those quarterbacks as well as Justin Herbert and Jordan love saw and heard their names called after Joe Burrow who was selected 1st overall by the Cincinnati Bengals.

The big question now is which of these 2020 NFL draft picks are going to put together the best season in 2020 while actually seeing the field? Here are the three quarterbacks on this list that could have a shot to produce in 2020.

Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals

While Burrow was drafted to take the field and be the future of the Bengals, this season the former LSU Tiger has a shot to put together a solid season on a team that features A.J. Green, Tyler Boyd and John Ross as well as Tyler Eifert as pass catching options. In addition, the team features Joe Mixon who many experts and analysts expect to have a big season in the back field.

Justin Herbert, San Diego Chargers

The former Oregon Ducks quarterback has a true shot to lead his team to the playoffs in 2020. The Chargers have a ton of talent on the defensive side of the ball while also having a great group of weapons at the receiver position including Keenan Allen. His inconsistencies could land him on the bench to start the season or even faster if he lands the starting job. That said, the weapons and talent are there for him to succeed in 2020.

Jake Luton, Jacksonville Jaguars

While Tua is the other option that could see significant playing time this season, Luton is the sleeper pick of the draft as he heads to a Jaguars team that has a ton of uncertainties including at the quarterback position. The former Oregon St Beaver quarterback has the size and arm to make big plays. Look for Luton to compete for some playing time in 2020.
