The 2023 NFL Combine starts on Monday, Feb. 27, with on-field events beginning on Thursday, March 2, and going through Sunday, March 5.

The 2023 NFL Combine will be hosted at Lucas Oil Stadium, home of the Indianapolis Colts, in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Who Was Invited to the NFL Combine?
A total of 319 prospects were invited to participate in the Combine. Alabama received the most invitations with 13, followed by Georgia with 12. Florida, LSU, Michigan, and TCU were next at nine, with Ohio State and Clemson right behind them at eight.
What Events Are at the NFL Combine?
There are many events at the NFL Combine designed to measure the explosiveness of a player. They also play a role in helping or hurting a player’s draft stock. A player’s performance can move them in and out of certain rounds or be the difference between them hearing their name called or going undrafted.

The most popular testing includes the 40-yard dash, bench press, and vertical jump. Analysts and fans reference these the most when discussing certain prospects. Other testing features the broad jump, 20-yard shuttle, three-cone drill, and 60-yard shuttle.
In addition to the testing, there are position-specific drills that are run to evaluate the prospect. Teams also get the chance to interview the players and conduct physical and injury examinations and drug testing. Tests such as the Wonderlic Test will also be conducted.
