NFL Week 17 Injury Tracker
New York Jets at Cleveland Browns (TNF)
- Jets: QB Aaron Rodgers, OUT (Achilles); QB Zach Wilson, OUT (concussion); RB Israel Abanikanda, QUESTIONABLE (ankle); WR Allen Lazard, QUESTIONABLE (illness); TE Jeremy Ruckert, OUT (concussion); K Greg Zuerlein, QUESTIONABLE (right quadriceps)
- Browns: WR Amari Cooper, QUESTIONABLE (heel); WR Marquise Goodwin, QUESTIONABLE (knee); EDGE Ogbo Okoronkwo, OUT (pectoral); LB Anthony Walker, OUT (knee); S Juan Thornhill, QUESTIONABLE (calf); K Dustin Hopkins, OUT (left hamstring); P Corey Bojorquez, DOUBTFUL (left quad)
Jets: Rodgers won’t play this season despite being activated from injured reserve (IR), while Wilson is still in the NFL’s concussion protocol. Trevor Siemian will make his second consecutive start under center for Gang Green.
Browns: Cooper was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week after erupting for 11 catches, 265 yards, and two touchdowns in Cleveland’s Week 16 win. But he didn’t practice Monday or Tuesday and is now questionable TNF. If Cooper can’t suit up against New York, Elijah Moore and Cedric Tillman will work as Joe Flacco’s top two wideouts.
The Browns are facing special team issues with Hopkins out and Borojuez unlikely to play. Kicker Riley Patterson and punter Matt Haack are standing by on Cleveland’s practice squad and will be elevated before Sunday’s game.
Detroit Lions at Dallas Cowboys (Saturday)
- Lions: FB Jason Cabinda (knee); TE Brock Wright (hip); OT Taylor Decker (groin); S C.J. Gardner-Johnson (pectoral)
- Cowboys: RB Rico Dowdle (ankle); OT Tyron Smith (back); OT Chuma Edoga (toe); G Zack Martin (thigh); DT Johnathan Hankins (knee/ankle)
Lions: Detroit is relatively healthy entering Week 17, as Wright was the club’s only player not practicing on Wednesday.
Cowboys: Dowdle has been battling an ankle injury for weeks. He was downgraded to DNP on Wednesday, a troubling sign for his Week 17 availability.
Smith, Martin, and Hankins all failed to practice today. Head coach Mike McCarthy said Tuesday that Smith and Hankins “have a chance” to face Dallas on Sunday.
New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills
- Patriots: WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (ankle); TE Hunter Henry (ankle); OT Trent Brown (illness); EDGE Anfernee Jennings (illness); DT Christian Barmore (knee); LB Ja’Whaun Bentley (knee); CB Jonathan Jones (knee); CB Myles Bryant (chest); CB Shaun Wade (hip); S Jabrill Peppers (hamstring); S Jalen Mills (concussion); ST Matthew Slater (hamstring)
- Bills: RB Ty Johnson (shoulder); EDGE Leonard Floyd (wrist/rib/rest); EDGE A.J. Epenesa (rib); LB Terrel Bernard (ankle); S Micah Hyde (neck stinger); S Damar Hamlin (shoulder); LS Reid Ferguson (right thumb)
Patriots: New England placed RB Rhamondre Stevenson on IR on Thursday. He’d already already missed three games with a high ankle sprain. There was little reason for New England to bring Stevenson back at this point in the season, especially with the playoffs out of reach.
Smith-Schuster and Henry missed the Patriots’ Week 16 win over the Denver Broncos, but both pass catchers managed limited sessions to begin this week’s practice.

Bills: Buffalo only conducted a walkthrough on Wednesday, but Floyd was the only player not practicing (and the Bills may have been giving him a veteran rest day. Johnson, Hyde, and Epenesa all missed Week 16 but managed limited participation in today’s session.
Atlanta Falcons at Chicago Bears
- Falcons: TBD
- Bears: WR Darnell Mooney (concussion); TE Cole Kmet (knee); OL Lucas Patrick (knee)
Falcons: TBD
Bears: Mooney might have difficulty clearing the NFL’s concussion protocol in time for Chicago’s Week 17 game. If Mooney can’t play, rookie Tyler Scott and veteran Equanimeous St. Brown could see additional time opposite DJ Moore.
Mooney didn’t practice Wednesday, nor did Kmet, who’s now dealing with a knee injury after battling a quad issue leading into Week 16. Robert Tonyan and Marcedes Lewis are next on the Bears’ TE depth chart.
On the plus side, RB D’Onta Foreman managed a full Wednesday practice after missing Sunday’s game with a personal issue.

Rams: TBD
Giants: Big Blue has as lengthy an injury report as any team in the NFL entering Week 17. On the skill-position side, Barkley, Robinson, and Waller were limited on Wednesday, so their practice participation will bear watching throughout the week.
Here’s who didn’t practice for New York today: Cager, Lawrence, Robinson, Nunez-Roches, and Banks.
Arizona Cardinals at Philadelphia Eagles

- Jaguars: QB Trevor Lawrence (shoulder)
Panthers: Hubbard handled 17 touches in Carolina’s Week 16 defeat to the Green Bay Packers but must have picked up a hamstring injury. He was limited on Wednesday, suggesting he’ll be good to go against Jacksonville.

Ekwonu, Moton, Luvu, Haynes, and Horn failed to practice to begin the week.
Jaguars: TBD
Miami Dolphins at Baltimore Ravens
- Dolphins: RB Raheem Mostert (ankle); RB De’Von Achane (toe); WR Tyreek Hill (ankle); WR Jaylen Waddle (ankle); WR Robbie Chosen (concussion); OT Terron Armstead (knee/ankle); OT Austin Jackson (oblique); G Robert Hunt (hamstring); EDGE Emmanuel Ogbah (hamstring); S Jevon Holland (knees)
- Ravens: TBD
Dolphins: Mostert, Achane, Hill, and Waddle all failed to practice on Wednesday, but it’s difficult to know what to make of Miami’s early-week injury reports, given that the club typically gives its veteran rest days.
Mostert, Achane, and Hill all played last week, while Waddle suffered a high ankle sprain that could force him to miss time. However, head coach Mike McDaniel said Waddle’s injury is not overly severe and did not rule out the third-year WR for Sunday’s game against Baltimore.
Ravens: TBD
Tennessee Titans at Houston Texans
- Titans: TBD
- Texans: QB C.J. Stroud (concussion); WR Noah Brown (knee); OT Laremy Tunsil (knee); EDGE Will Anderson Jr. (ankle); EDGE Jonathan Greenard (ankle); DT Sheldon Rankins (unspecified); LB Blake Cashman (hamstring)
Titans: TBD

Seahawks: TBD
Los Angeles Chargers at Denver Broncos
- Chargers: WR Keenan Allen (heel); WR Josh Palmer (unspecified)
- Broncos: TBD
Chargers: Allen has missed two weeks with a heel injury and started off this week by sitting out practice, a troubling sign for his Week 17 availability. The veteran wide receiver was working off to the side of LA’s practice, as was Palmer.
Broncos: TBD
Cincinnati Bengals at Kansas City Chiefs
- Bengals: WR Ja’Marr Chase (shoulder); EDGE Cam Sample (knee); CB Jalen Davis (groin)
- Chiefs: RB Isiah Pacheco (concussion); WR Kadarius Toney (hip); OT Donovan Smith (neck); CB L’Jarius Sneed (calf); CB Jaylen Watson (illness)
Bengals: Chase suffered a shoulder injury in Week 15 and didn’t play in Week 16. He participated in Cincinnati’s Wednesday walkthrough but was not present for the portion of the club’s practice open to the media. Instead, Chase worked on a side field catching passes from a Bengals trainer; he threw the ball back with his left arm to avoid stress on his right shoulder.
Chiefs: Pacheco didn’t practice on Wednesday after leaving Kansas City’s Week 16 defeat with a concussion. Jerick McKinnon is already on IR, leaving Clyde Edwards-Helaire as the Chiefs’ de facto starting RB if Pacheco cannot clear the NFL’s concussion protocol by Sunday.
Toney, Smith, Sneed, and Watson also failed to practice today.
Green Bay Packers at Minnesota Vikings (SNF)
- Packers: WR Christian Watson (hamstring); WR Jayden Reed (toe/chest); WR Dontayvion Wicks (ankle); TE Luke Musgrave (kidney); G Elgton Jenkins (unspecified); LB De’Vondre Campbell (neck)
- Vikings: TBD
Packers: Watson has been sidelined for three games by a hamstring injury and did not participate in Wednesday’s practice. Reed missed last week’s game but was limited today. Wicks was also limited after suffering an ankle injury in Week 16.
Meanwhile, Musgrave is still on IR after lacerating his kidney in mid-November but returned to practice on Wednesday. Green Bay can activate him at any time.
Vikings: TBD
