NFL Week 6 Injury Tracker

Denver Broncos at Kansas City Chiefs (TNF)

  • Broncos: RB Javonte Williams (quad); C Lloyd Cushenberry (quad); DT D.J. Jones (knee); DT Mike Purcell (ribs); EDGE Baron Browning (knee); S Justin Simmons (hip)
  • Chiefs: TE Travis Kelce, QUESTIONABLE (ankle); EDGE George Karlaftis, QUESTIONABLE (hamstring); P Tommy Townsend, QUESTIONABLE (left knee)

Broncos: TBD

Chiefs: Kelce suffered a low ankle sprain on Sunday but returned for the second half of Kansas City’s eventual win over the Minnesota Vikings. He’s been limited this week but appears on track to face the Broncos on Thursday night, especially after head coach Andy Reid said Kelce was “feeling a little better” on Wednesday.

Linebacker Nick Bolton is set to return after missing three games with an ankle injury. Rookie first-rounder Felix Anudike-Uzomah will likely start at defensive end if Karlaftis can’t play. Townsend was a Wednesday addition to K.C.’s injury report; the Chiefs could add a punter to their practice squad before tomorrow’s game if Townsend’s knee issue is serious.

Baltimore Ravens at Tennessee Titans

  • Ravens: TBD
  • Titans: Treylon Burks (knee)

Minnesota Vikings at Chicago Bears

  • Vikings: TBD
  • Bears: RB Khalil Herbert (ankle); RB Roschon Johnson (concussion); RB Travis Homer (hamstring); WR Equanimeous St. Brown (hamstring); TE Cole Kmet (hamstring); C Lucas Patrick (concussion); CB Kyler Gordon (hand); CB Jaylon Johnson (hamstring); CB Terrell Smith (ankle)

Vikings: TBD

Bears: Herbert has a high-ankle sprain, which typically features a four-to-six-week return timeline; Chicago could place him on injured reserve (IR) before Sunday’s game.

Roschon Johnson will step into the Bears’ RB1 role — if he’s able to play. A 10-day turnaround might give the rookie back enough time to clear the NFL’s concussion protocols, but he didn’t practice on Wednesday. If Johnson can’t go, D’Onta Foreman (a healthy scratch since Week 1) could see starter’s snaps.

Homer, Patrick, and Brown also failed to practice on Wednesday. Jaylon Johnson missed Week 5 with a hamstring injury but returned for a limited practice today.

Seattle Seahawks at Cincinnati Bengals

  • Seahawks: TBD
  • Bengals: LB Akeem Davis-Gaither (knee)

San Francisco 49ers at Cleveland Browns

  • 49ers: TBD
  • Browns: QB Deshaun Watson (shoulder); TE David Njoku (shoulder); EDGE Myles Garrett (foot)

49ersTBD

Browns: Watson didn’t play in Week 4  despite being medically cleared after suffering a rotator cuff contusion. He couldn’t practice on Wednesday, even though Cleveland is coming off its bye.

The Browns promoted veteran P.J. Walker to No. 2 on their quarterback depth chart following fifth-round rookie Dorian Thompson Robinson’s three-interception outing against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 4. He’ll start against the 49ers if Watson is sidelined for a second consecutive game.

New Orleans Saints at Houston Texans

  • Saints: TBD
  • Texans: WR Tank Dell (concussion); WR Noah Brown (groin); OT Laremy Tunsil (knee); CB Shaquil Griffin (calf)

Saints: TBD

Texans: Dell has been electric to begin his rookie campaign, but he’s expected to sit out Week 6 while recovering from a concussion. Brown, designated to return from IR but not yet activated, could help replace Dell against the Saints if he can suit up.

Indianapolis Colts at Jacksonville Jaguars

  • Colts: TE Mo-Alie Cox (concussion); OT Braden Smith (unspecified)
  • Jaguars: WR Zay Jones (knee)

Colts: TBD

Jaguars: TBD

Carolina Panthers at Miami Dolphins

  • Panthers: RB Miles Sanders (shoulder); TE Stephen Sullivan (hip); OT Taylor Moton (knee); G Chandler Zavala (neck); G Austin Corbett (knee); G Calvin Throckmorton (calf); DT Derrick Brown (knee/ankle); EDGE Brian Burns (ankle); S Xavier Woods (hamstring)
  • Dolphins: TBD

Panthers: Sanders, listed on Carolina’s injury report with a groin issue over the last several weeks, is now dealing with a new shoulder problem. He didn’t practice on Wednesday, but it’s probably too early to be concerned about his Week 6 status. In Week 4, Sanders managed to suit up even after failing to practice on a Friday.

Zavala suffered a scary neck injury on Sunday and had to be transported to a local hospital for evaluation, but he traveled back to Carolina with the rest of the team. The rookie guard didn’t practice Wednesday, nor did Woods, who has missed the past two games.

Dolphins: TBD

New England Patriots at Las Vegas Raiders

  • Patriots: WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (concussion); WR Demario Douglas (concussion); EDGE Matthew Judon (elbow)
  • Raiders: TBD

  • Lions: RB Jahmyr Gibbs (hamstring); RB Zonovan Knight (shoulder); WR Amon-Ra St. Brown (abdomen); TE James Mitchell (hamstring); G Jonah Jackson (unspecified); DB Brian Branch (ankle)
  • Buccaneers: TBD

LionsSt. Brown was back at practice on Wednesday after missing Week 5 with an injury, but Gibbs — also sidelined on Sunday — did not return. If Gibbs is out for a second consecutive game, Craig Reynolds will pick up any additional carries behind starting RB David Montgomery.

Arizona Cardinals at Los Angeles Rams

New York Giants at Buffalo Bills (SNF)

  • Giants: QB Daniel Jones (neck); RB Saquon Barkley (ankle); WR Wan’Dale Robinson (knee); TE Darren Waller (groin); OT Andrew Thomas (hamstring); OT Matt Peart (shoulder); G Shane Lemieux (groin); C John Michael Schmitz (shoulder); EDGE Azeez Ojulari (ankle); LB Micah McFadden (ankle)
  • Bills: TE Dalton Kincaid (concussion); TE Dawson Knox (wrist); EDGE Greg Rousseau (foot); CB Dane Jackson (foot)

Giants: The Giants had seven starters fail to practice on Wednesday, including Jones, whose neck injury is “little bit more sore” this week than it was on Sunday, per head coach Brian Daboll. Tyrod Taylor will draw the start if Jones can’t suit up against the Bills.

Daboll labeled nearly every injured Giant as “day-to-day,” including Barkley, who hasn’t played since Week 2. Barkley will “ramp up” his practice work this week and could be trending toward a Week 6 availability. If he plays, Barkley will run behind a line likely to be without its starting left tackle (Thomas) for the fifth straight game.

Waller popped up on New York’s injury report on Wednesday and didn’t practice. Daboll seemed “somewhat optimistic” that Waller can get ready for Sunday night, and the veteran tight end “assured” Giants media that he will practice on Thursday.

Bills: Buffalo only conducted a walkthrough on Wednesday, but Jackson couldn’t participate. That’s a problem, given that Bills CB1 Tre’Davious White is already out for the season. If Jackson doesn’t play, former first-round pick Kaiir Elam will start at corner alongside Christian Benford, who is dealing with a shoulder injury but was a full walkthrough participant.

The rest of Buffalo’s injured players were limited on Wednesday, including Rousseau, who missed Week 5 with a foot issue. Not listed are linebacker Matt Milano and defensive tackle DaQuan Jones, both of whom were placed on IR Wednesday and are expected to miss the rest of the season.

Dallas Cowboys at Los Angeles Chargers (MNF)
