Super Bowl kicker prop bets (Harrison Butker poised for big game)

When thinking about the bets you’re going to place on the Super Bowl, you’ve likely thought about the point spread, the total, some player props, and maybe even some exotic props like the result of the coin toss.

But, have you thought about the kickers?

That’s right, we’re even going to be betting on the two kickers in this game. I’m here to give you my best kicker props for Super Bowl 57 between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles.

Let’s dive into them.

Super Bowl 57 Kicker Props

  • Jake Elliott total kicking points UNDER 7.5
  • Harrison Butker total kicking points OVER 7.5

Jake Elliott UNDER 7.5 kicking points

Kansas City Chiefs @ Philadelphia Eagles

This bet is not a lack of belief in the Jake Elliott or the Eagles themselves. In fact, I’m on the Eagles to win and cover the spread.

Instead, this bet is a lack of faith in the Chiefs defense, specifically their performance inside their own red zone. It’s been a weak point for Kansas City all season. The Chiefs struggle to stop teams when they get down close to their goal line, ranking 30th in the NFL in red zone defense, allowing opponents to score a touchdown on 65.57% of red zone trips against them.

Not being able to hold their opponents to field goals, means Jake Elliott may be stuck to kicking extra points. And, unless you think they’re going to score five touchdowns, the Eagles will need to kick at least two field goals for this total to go over.

The Chiefs are allowing only 1.4 field goals made per game this season, the seventh fewest in the NFL.

Harrison Butker OVER 7.5 kicking points

Kansas City Chiefs @ Philadelphia Eagles

For the complete lack of faith I have in the Chiefs defense to hold the Eagles offense to field goals, the opposite is true when it comes to the Eagles defense. I think they’re going to force the Chiefs into field goal situations at several points of the game.

Philadelphia has been a top tier defensive unit all season. They rank first in opponent yards per play (4.7), first in opponent yards per pass attempt (5.4), and first in sack percentage (11.49%).

They also rank 11th in red zone defense, allowing their opponents to score a touchdown on only 53.57% of red zone trips against them.

I think this will result in the Chiefs’ offensive drives stalling out, which will lead to field goals. For that reason, I like Butker to go OVER 7.5 kicking points.
