NFL Fans React to Viral Joe Flacco Hit That Had Desmond King Spinning

The Houston Texans were welcomed back into the NFL postseason. Cleveland Browns QB Joe Flacco got his “welcome back to the playoffs” moment courtesy of the home team.

And it was the type of hit that had Desmond King spinning … literally.

Fans Ask If Desmond King Was Secretly Breakdancing

King busted out a rare breakdancing moment after the massive hit on Flacco.

The way King spun on Flacco made some fans wonder if King secretly was wearing 1980s Adidas gear, came with a boombox, and had a Run DMC or LL Cool J song flowing the speakers, as King ended up spinning on top of Flacco’s head.

Another description? Famed wrestling legend Booker T, who popularized the “Spinaroonie” during his mat days.

King and Flacco had the internet abuzz with their rare moment.

This Desmond King hit may be one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen on a football field,” PFN’s Tony Catalina posted on X (formerly known as Twitter).

The account for Amazon Prime Thursday Night Football was one amazed by the rare dance moves by King.

Fan Duel also described it as a breakdancing moment in Houston. Cowboys reporter Joseph Hoyt called the move the “human beyblade.”

One account, though, described the King moment as a helicopter malfunctioning.

One more account described it as a vehicle doing “donuts” in the middle of the street.

Is This King’s First Playoff Appearance?

While Flacco is back in the postseason, the 29-year-old King is also taking in his first postseason in a while.

The safety has only witnessed the playoffs twice in his nine-year NFL career. His last appearance? Back in 2020, with the Tennessee Titans. And that was a Titans team that won the AFC South title but fell in the opening round against Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens. King delivered six tackles with five solo stops in that 20-13 loss.

He earned his first playoff taste with the Los Angeles Chargers back in 2018 — which was also his All-Pro season. That Chargers team went 1-1 in the playoffs.

King delivered four tackles with three solo stops in the 23-17 win over the Ravens. But in the following week, his Chargers fell to a Tom Brady-led New England Patriots team 41-28. King ended with eight total tackles, including five stops by himself. He also delivered one QB hit of Brady.

So for King, Saturday represented his fourth playoff game ever in a career that began in 2017 as a fifth-round selection out of Iowa. King was even a late addition to the Texans’ defense as he came over from Pittsburgh.

King ended up playing in 10 total contests for Houston. He proved how valuable of a veteran presence he is by delivering three double-digit tackle games, including the 11 he produced in the regular season meeting against the Browns.

But for Saturday, King became a trending topic as someone who was breakdancing or, perhaps, was secretly paying tribute to the longtime Houston native Booker T during his playoffs return.
