Pickett Betting Trends and Stats
Pickett has yet to throw more than one touchdown pass in any of the first 15 games of his career.
Pickett Best Bet
Fifteen games into his NFL career, and Pickett has not had many standout moments. Only one 300-yard passing game (327 yards in Week 5 last year at Buffalo), no multi-TD pass games, but three multi-interception games.
And with the Steelers thin at wide receiver this week, it might appear to make sense that they might be more devoted to the running game, which would mean more Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren.
However, both backs can handle pass-catching duties, along with their RB assignments, so it’s possible Pickett could throw the ball more than last week, just not too many downfield throws.
Pickett and George Pickens hooked up on a 71-yard TD strike last week, but if you eliminate that one throw, Pickett’s other 14 completions netted just 151 yards. That includes a 30-yard connection to Warren.
The Steelers have faced two tough defenses to start the season, between the 49ers and Browns. Perhaps Pittsburgh will be getting a break, facing a Raiders’ defense that allowed 450 total yards last week.
Last week, we took the under on Pickett’s pass attempts and won by a half of an attempt. For this matchup, we’ll go the opposite route and take the over.
Kenny Pickett’s Best Bet: Over 31.5 pass attempts (-115 at DraftKings)
