The fantasy football playoffs are officially upon us as we enter Week 15 of the NFL season. All year long, fantasy managers have been making moves to help them achieve the ultimate goal of being called a champion.
Injuries can play a huge role this time of year, and the wide receiver position right now has a lot of question marks. Let’s take a look at the injury status of Justin Jefferson, Nico Collins, and Demario Douglas as we get ready for the start of Week 15.
Latest News and Injury Updates Impacting Fantasy
Justin Jefferson, Minnesota Vikings
There was a ton of excitement heading into last week for the Minnesota Vikings, as they were 6-6 and getting arguably the best wide receiver in football back from injury. Despite not having their superstar wideout, the team went 5-2 in his absence and is right in the thick of things in the NFC playoffs.
While they were able to get a win against the Las Vegas Raiders, it wasn’t exactly pretty. The Vikings won only 3-0 and Jefferson had to leave the game with a chest injury.
Jefferson finished with two catches for 27 yards before leaving the game.

He had to go to the hospital with a chest injury, but it appears that he was able to avoid anything too serious. His status for the game against the Cincinnati Bengals is still in question, and the fact they play on Saturday could make it tougher for him to make it back in time for this matchup between two playoff hopefuls.
Nico Collins, Houston Texans
Collins has been incredible this year for the Houston Texans, as he recently became just the fourth receiver in the team’s history to generate 1,000 yards in a season. The other three are DeAndre Hopkins, Brandin Cooks, and Andre Johnson. What makes that even more impressive is the fact he has fought through multiple injuries this season.
He had to leave the game in the first quarter against the New York Jets on Sunday. It was unclear when Collins was injured, but he left the game with a calf injury. His status is up in the air for next weekend against the Tennessee Titans, and it could be tough for the Texans’ offense.
Quarterback C.J. Stroud was injured and is currently in the concussion protocol, while wide receiver Tank Dell was lost for the season in Week 13. The Texans offense has certainly been one of the most surprising in the NFL this year, but it is in a tough spot right now.
If Stroud can go, his number one target could end up being Noah Brown. Brown had two monster games earlier in the season, but to expect him to help you win in the fantasy playoffs may be a lot to ask.
The Titans are coming off an impressive performance in the upset win against the Miami Dolphins and could make things tough for Houston on Sunday.
Demario Douglas, New England Patriots
Douglas has missed the last two weeks for the New England Patriots, and that has been tough for the team as he was playing some solid football before the injury.

In the previous five games that he played in, he had 26 catches for 267 yards. He had been targeted 38 times during that stretch but has been in the concussion protocol since the game against the New York Giants.
He was injured when he took a forearm to the face, and he still has not been cleared. The Patriots are going up against the Kansas City Chiefs, who despite losing three of four, are still one of the best defenses in the NFL.
If Douglas isn’t cleared, then JuJu Smith-Schuster could once again be the go-to receiver for the Patriots in Week 15 and he’s widely available on the waiver wire in fantasy football leagues.
