Jerry Jones Discusses the Team’s Health Going Into Week 8

FRISCO, Texas — The Dallas Cowboys continue to prepare for their Week 8 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams.

Dallas Cowboys Injury Report

Thursday’s official report is as follows:

  • OT Tyron Smith was added to the injury report and was limited during practice with a neck injury.
  • S Juanyeh Thomas was a full participant at practice once again.

Cowboys Practice Report

Ahead of practice on Thursday, head coach Mike McCarthy said that the team is healthy right now, and that’s where they want to be coming off of the bye week.

Owner Jerry Jones stopped by to watch some practice before briefing the media. He said he feels good about the team’s health after the bye week.

On Wednesday, Thomas was the only player listed on the practice report but was a full participant working through a hamstring injury.

However, Thomas was spotted participating in stretches and individual drills once again.

C.J. Goodwin and Peyton Hendershot, still on injured reserve this week, were seen at practice in street clothes and working with the team’s rehab group like they did on Wednesday.

Jerry Jones Visits Practice To Discuss Trade Deadline and Ring of Honor

During Jones’ time catching up with the media, he discussed whether the Cowboys would engage in trade conversations before Tuesday’s trade deadline.

He kept the same mentality as he had earlier in the week when discussing it on 105.3 The Fan.

“I don’t think there’s anything at a level that I would expect to do anything,” said Jones, who expressed his enthusiasm and trust within the current roster.

The owner isn’t opposed to making a trade, even if it’s risky. But he said he thinks the current roster can get the team to where they want to go.

Jones also discussed DeMarcus Ware’s official addition to the Cowboys’ Ring of Honor this weekend, saying, “It’s a special group that is in that Ring of Honor out there … and he fits the picture.”

“Yes. We’re comfortable enough with each other, and we’ll talk about anything,” said Jones.
