Will Anderson’s NFL draft odds are suddenly surging

During the NFL Combine and pre-draft college workouts, all the buzz centered around quarterbacks. Will Levis and Anthony Richardson were hotter than a jalapeno popper with the seeds still in it at the onset of pre-draft hype, before giving way to a tobacco-infused tidal wave of reality featuring Bryce Young and C.J. Stroud as the top two QB prospects in this year’s draft.

But don’t let the spicy QB rumors distract you from an under-the-radar storyline that could make you some serious dough.

Pass rusher Will Anderson is suddenly surging in draft odds to be selected in the first three picks and it’s not too late to get on board the express train to cashville.

Over the last 48 hours, Anderson’s OVER/UNDER odds to be drafted in the top three picks have drastically tightened to the UNDER, meaning Vegas now expects him to be a Top 3 pick.

This isn’t exactly a shock considering Anderson came into last college football season as the presumptive No. 1 pick, but after some rumors suggested quarterbacks could be taken with the top three picks this year, it is a notable change.

A big reason why we’re seeing such big movement is the Houston Texans reportedly could pick Anderson at No. 2 overall. They reportedly want to draft Young as their quarterback of the future, but it appears the Carolina Panthers, who traded up to the No. 1 pick, are set to pick Young with his odds currently standing at -350 to be the No. 1 overall pick.

That would leave the Texans needing to choose between Anderson, Stroud, one of the other quarterbacks or trading down in the draft. But even if a QB-needy team like the Indianapolis Colts or Las Vegas Raiders move up to No. 2, the Arizona Cardinals, who pick third, could also take Anderson. Pass rush is a big area of need for them and they also have a highly-paid QB on the roster, Kyler Murray.

All of this is to say, Anderson has two realistic teams that, if they believe he’s a defensive cornerstone worth building around, would pick him in the top 3.

While nothing is a lock in the NFL Draft, -115 odds are pretty tempting for a player whose talented enough to be the No. 1 pick any other year.

Game odds refresh predictably and are subject to change.
