Will Dalton Kincaid Play in Week 14 for the Bills?

Kincaid was having a breakout season before suffering a hamstring injury that has kept him out for the past three games. This includes a career-best 56 yards per game and a career-high four touchdowns in just eight games.

His absence is clearly significant for their offense, but the tight end appears to have a chance of returning in Week 14 against the Bengals.

Bills reporter Sal Capaccio recently shared an update from head coach Sean McDermott regarding his apparent improvement in the recovery process.

“We’ll see where that leads us this week,” said McDermott.

His non-committal response also applied to Joey Bosa, Spencer Brown, Terrel Bernard, and Joshua Palmer.

This list represents several of their most important players as they look to get healthy for the final stretch of the season. Kincaid may be the most significant of all of them, as their offense has struggled to find consistency in their passing game.

The third-year tight end has recorded at least four receptions in five of his eight games this year and has also exceeded 100 yards in two of them, with both of those coming across his past four appearances. This makes his hamstring injury even more devastating, as he appeared to be trending up before going down.

His value is further demonstrated by his standing on PFSN’s Impact Rankings, where he currently ranks third among all tight ends this season, trailing only Tucker Kraft and Tyler Warren. His presence has also been extremely valuable for the Bills in general as they have 6-2 record in games that he has played in, and a 2-2 record in the other four.

Kincaid’s potential return in Week 14 could give them the boost they need to secure their playoff spot amid a tight race to the postseason. They are currently tied with the Los Angeles Chargers and Indianapolis Colts for three Wild Card spots, but four other teams are within three games of their lead with just five weeks remaining. They will likely need a strong finish, and their star tight end can help them accomplish it.
