Titans Have Likely Decision On Treylon Burks’ Fifth-Year Option

The Tennessee Titans are approaching a crucial NFL deadline that could shape their wide receiver room.

Treylon Burks, as a first-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, has a pending decision on his fifth-year contract option.

Since his arrival, the Titans have hired a new head coach, cycled through two general managers, and recently added a president of football operations.

Now, reports suggest Tennessee has made on decision on Burks’ contract.

“Titans unlikely to pick up fifth-year option of WR Treylon Burks, who’s still rehabbing season-ending knee injury,” Around The NFL wrote on X.

This makes sense given Burks’ limited production.

Over three seasons, he has played just 27 games and posted 699 receiving yards.

The financial commitment would be significant, with his fifth-year option carrying a $15.493 million price tag.

Injuries have disrupted Burks’ NFL journey, with ACL surgery ending his 2024 season after just five games.

The Titans made a notable investment in Burks, trading up to select him No. 18 overall in the 2022 draft.

As he enters the final year of his rookie contract, his 2025 performance will be crucial.

Last season’s output was particularly disappointing, with just four catches for 34 yards and no touchdowns.
