Packers’ Super Bowl odds following Aaron Rodgers trade

After an offseason filled with reports that Aaron Rodgers would end up a New York Jet, the trade was finally made official today, just days before the NFL Draft.

While it was expected to go through at some point in the offseason, the deal going through today means the Green Bay Packers will be entering some sort of rebuilding phase.

The trade helps them do exactly that, as they’ll receive a plethora of draft picks including the No. 13th overall pick on Thursday night, which means they’ll draft two slots higher than they were originally slated to.

But, before we get into the NFL Draft, let’s take a look at the Packers’ latest odds to win next year’s Super Bowl.

Packers Super Bowl odds

The latest Super Bowl odds post-Rodgers trade has the Packers set at +5000 to win Super Bowl 58, meaning a $100 bet on Green Bay would profit you $5,000 if the Packers manage to achieve the feat.

For context, this gives the Packers the same Super Bowl odds as the Carolina Panthers and Seattle Seahawks.

Those aren’t the kind of odds that should give Green Bay fans much hope heading into the 2023 NFL season.

As of writing this article, Jordan Love would be the Packers starting quarterback, but with the draft still ahead of us, who knows exactly what the team’s offense will look like come opening weekend.

Regardless, one thing we know is for the first time since 1992, the Packers will enter the NFL season with a starting quarterback not named Brett Favre or Aaron Rodgers.
