The Atlanta Falcons spent a lot of money to get Kirk Cousins.

They made a huge investment to lure him out away from the Minnesota Vikings, even though he was coming off a season-ending injury.

Cousins had a rather forgettable outing and didn’t look sharp at all.

It was understandable to a degree, but it seems like there are still some reasons to be worried.

According to Dianna Russini of The Athletic, his struggles might be related to having a first-time play-caller on offense.

Raheem Morris brought new offensive coordinator Zac Robinson with him after he excelled as the Los Angeles Rams’ pass game coordinator and quarterbacks coach.

There will be some growing pains with him there.

It’s all a learning curve and a part of the process.

The Falcons entered this season with high expectations and the motivation to get back to the top of the NFC South Division.

The early returns were far from encouraging, but the Falcons have more than enough talent on offense to bounce back and get back on track.

Cousins might need some more time to get to his best, and if that’s not the case, perhaps they will want to give their rookie quarterback a chance to prove his worth.
