Nebraska Volleyball player Allie Sczech has confirmed her association with the Omaha Supernovas. The opposite player will join the Supernovas from 2026 onwards, having completed her collegiate career this season.
She had joined the Baylor Bears in the 2022 season, before eventually transferring to the Nebraska Cornhuskers in her final collegiate season this year.

The official X page of the Omaha Supernovas recently confirmed that Sczech has joined the prestigious Major League Volleyball team based in Omaha, Nebraska.

Sczech had previously expressed her interest in the Omaha Supernovas. She revealed in an interview that she is extremely excited to join the team alongside former Nebraska players like Merritt Beason and Leyla Blackwell, if given the opportunity.
Sczech had initially represented the Baylor Bears from 2022 to 2024, and had decided to transfer to the Nebraska Cornhuskers for her final season as a collegiate player in the 2025 season. As an opposite for the Bears, Sczech was included in the Academic All-Big 12 First Team three times (2022, 2023, and 2024).
She was also included in the All-Big 12 Rookie Team for her inaugural season in 2022. Her best performance for the Baylor Bears came in her inaugural season, when the Bears reached the Round of 16.
Previously, the Bears’ best result was in the 2019 season, when they qualified for their first and only semifinals to date.
Sczech has generated a career total of 805 kills with a strike rate of 2.205 kills per set and a decent attacking percentage of 0.254. Interestingly, her attacking average was the highest in her final year, when she generated a total of 51 kills with an average of 1.594 kills per set, and an attacking percentage of 0.384.
Even in defense, Sczech scored better than expected. She generated a total of 231 digs, with a strike rate of 0.633 digs per set. Sczech’s best performance came against multiple-time NCAA champions Stanford Cardinals, where she generated a total of 12 points and 12 kills.
Her best defense came up in the final Big Ten Conference match against the Ohio State Buckeyes, where she generated three blocks in total. Sczech was a part of the invincible Huskers’ team, which won the Big Ten Conference title for the third consecutive time with a clean slate of 30-0 this year.
