Meet the 3 New Champions Crowned at WrestleMania 41 Night 1

Night 1 of WrestleMania 41 is officially in the books. The first part of the Showcase of The Immortals didn’t disappoint. Titles changed hands, while Paul Heyman betrayed both Roman Reigns and CM Punk and aligned with Seth Rollins.

At the same time, a few superstars made history and became champions at the Grandest Stage of Them All. We take a look at the three championships that changed hands at WrestleMania 41.

The New Day re-claimed the Tag Team Titles

The New Day was in search of a new direction over the past few months. They betrayed Big E and turned heel, turning their backs on the RAW locker room and the WWE Universe.

After weeks of calling out the WWE Universe and the Superstars that turned their backs on them, they started a feud with The War Raiders. The latter had dethroned Finn Balor and JD McDonagh to become RAW Tag Team Champions.

The War Raiders initially retained their titles on RAW. But, The New Day got a second shot at WrestleMania 41. Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods withstood a tough battle with The War Raiders and became Tag Team Champions again. It will be interesting to see if Big E returns to confront his former friends after their WrestleMania 41 triumph.

Jacob Fatu claims first singles title in WWE

Jacob Fatu has taken WWE by storm since his debut in June 2024. He has been a dominant force in the Solo Sikoa-led Bloodline for months. Once The Bloodline civil war was over, he moved to singles action.

He started feuding with SmackDown Superstars, and eventually got a title shot at WrestleMania 41. In an epic battle with LA Knight in Las Vegas on Saturday, Fatu came on top as the new United States Champion.

The Samoan Werewolf has done a great job as a heel and he is expected to get a push by WWE. He will now have a target on his back as the new US Champion, but his next opponent could be a familiar face.

Solo Sikoa has stepped aside following his Tribal Combat loss to Roman Reigns in early January. But, his next opponent could be his Bloodline brother Jacob Fatu.

Sikoa and Fatu are not on the same page at the moment. There has been a significant tension between the two for weeks and the Samoan Werewolf’s triumph at WrestleMania 41 could make things worse.

Jacon Fatu could even declare himself the new Bloodline leader following WrestleMania. Solo Sikoa not liking that idea could turn on Fatu, and challenge him for the US Championship. He could even have a face turn in the process.

Jey Uso made history at WrestleMania 41

Jey Uso headed into WrestleMania 41 with one goal on his mind. To dethrone Gunther and become the new World Heavyweight Champion. He was 0-3 against the Ring General and would have no other chance to defeat him.

The Yeet Master gave a spectacular performance on the opening night of Mania. He forced Gunther to tap out, claiming the victory and the title. It was the first World Championship for the 2025 Royal Rumble Winner in his WWE career.

Jey Uso has now become the face of RAW. But, his triumph at WrestleMania 41 put a target on his back. The Yeet Master will see some of the top superstars emerge as contenders for his title.

CM Punk wants a title shot, while Seth Rollins could be the next in line following his alliance with Paul Heyman. Roman Reigns could also re-ignite his feud with Jey Uso, but this time the latter will be the World Champion.

The OTC could pursue a title run on RAW. Still, he now has his sights set on Paul Heyman and Seth Rollins. Should The Visionary be the next in line for the World Heavyweight Championship, it should be a no-brainer that the former Universal Champion could get involved, seeking revenge.
