Former Player Makes Big Prediction About Cam Ward

Tennessee Titans rookie Cam Ward has generated about as little attention as any No. 1 overall pick in recent memory, but he checks all the boxes for what a team would want in a young quarterback.

While other big-name rookies such as Travis Hunter, Shedeur Sanders and Ashton Jeanty have garnered most of the headlines coming out of the 2025 NFL Draft, one former player recently had a big prediction about Ward and the kind of season he could have.

“Manti Te’o believes Cam Ward will take home the Offensive Rookie of the Year award with coach Brian Callahan by his side,” “Good Morning Football” wrote on X.

Will Levis was a disappointment as the Titans’ quarterback last season, so Ward should have no resistance when it comes to being the Week 1 starter.

There are many more questions about the team around him than there are about him as a quarterback, as the Titans have uncertainty at wide receiver and an offensive line that is trying to take a big leap forward after giving up 52 sacks last year.

Ward threw for 4,313 yards and 39 touchdowns for the University of Miami last season and was named a finalist for the Heisman Trophy.

Callahan, in his second season as head coach, should now have a chance to implement an offense that is more aligned with his vision.

The Titans made big splashes to upgrade the offensive line by signing left tackle Dan Moore and right guard Kevin Zeitler, so Ward should be protected as he makes his transition to the NFL.

Jayden Daniels didn’t get a ton of buzz prior to last season, and look how that turned out for the Washington Commanders quarterback.

Perhaps Ward can follow a similar path and also be a runaway Rookie of the Year.
