With John Cena and The Rock forming an adrenaline-pumping alliance at WWE Elimination Chamber, fans are buzzing about what’s next for the legendary duo. As anticipation builds for their upcoming showdown, speculation is running wild about who might join their squad.
Eric Bischoff, former Raw general manager and podcaster, weighed in on the discussion on his “83 Weeks with Eric Bischoff” podcast, tossing out some intriguing names that could fit the role.
Eric Bischoff Breaks Down The Rock-John Cena Alliance and Shares His Picks
Bischoff, who brings decades of experience in the industry, broke down the game-changing alliance between Cena and The Rock. Cena’s shocking betrayal of Cody Rhodes, the fan favorite and WWE Undisputed Champion, sent shockwaves through the wrestling world.
Cena’s unexpected heel turn at Elimination Chamber, where he aligned with The Rock, only fueled the buzz. Some believe the move could be tied to Cena’s long-rumored farewell from wrestling, while others think his unfulfilled goal of winning a record-breaking 17th world title played a part.
Looking at the alliance, Bischoff named a wrestler he thinks could thrive alongside The Rock and Cena: former NXT Champion Karrion Kross. On his podcast, Bischoff said, “Karrion Kross needs something… I just feel something; my instinct tells me something about that guy.”
Bischoff believes that while Kross has talent and an intimidating presence, he hasn’t yet found the right formula in WWE.
He added, “There’s something a little mysterious about him, and that’s projected intentionally. But I think if they dialed that back just a little bit and brought a little bit more authenticity to him, unpolish him just a little bit, I think he could be a really cool character.”
Bischoff’s point is that if Kross leans more into being himself, he could break through in a major way. And he didn’t stop there.
Bischoff also floated the idea of a female presence in The Rock’s faction, throwing out one big name — Becky Lynch. With Lynch currently away from WWE, questions are already swirling about when and how she might make her return.
Speculation initially ran wild about Travis Scott being the third man in The Rock’s faction, especially after he appeared alongside The Final Boss at the Elimination Chamber 2025 and helped Cena beat down Rhodes. However, Bischoff took a different view.
Instead of backing a celebrity crossover, the veteran leaned on tradition, suggesting the two actual wrestlers who could bring credibility to the alliance.
