Dustin Rhodes has had a long and storied career. His time with WWE, WCW, and AEW has come with plenty of stories, and not all of them have been revealed publicly. One such tale was the reaction to his unceremonious firing from WCW by a certain Eric Bischoff.
Recently, Bischoff spoke about Rhodes’ firing, stating that it happened due to bleeding during matches. However, the son of Dusty Rhodes took to X to launch a rant against Bischoff and his claims, claiming that he was actually terminated to make space for Hulk Hogan and his friends.

Rhodes didn’t take kindly to his former boss’s words and took to X to tell his side of the story. He debunked many of Bischoffs’ claims, even speaking about Hulk Hogan in his post.

“Eric Bischoff was speaking on my firing of WCW about bleeding,” the man who was known as Goldust said. “Number 1, and this will be talked about in my book at length, I reached out beforehand to Craig Leathers and was told we could. I would never disobey what my boss says.”
“2, why did Hogan bleed on that same PPV, but it was ok? Need to get your facts straight,” Rhodes added. “I lost my job, and they did not. You know why? Cause Hogan and his boys had just arrived and they needed to clear out a few contracts. It was wrong, but you know what I didn’t do? Sue. Because I knew I was gonna be just fine because I bust my a** each and every time I am out there and have had an extraordinary career.”
Rhodes said, “For the record, I don’t have a problem with Eric, but this shouldn’t have been talked about on air.” Eric Bischoff was not Dustin Rhodes’s only target. In the same tweet, he addressed critics who think he has no charisma with a sharp message.
“For those in the IWC that say I have never had any charisma, you’re absolutely wrong,” Rhodes wrote. “You could never do what I do, EVER. I have busted my a** my whole career….I’m Dustin F*****g Rhodes, a charismatic, hardworking legend. Man this s*** pisses me off.”
