Dates, Times, TV Schedule, and More

We now know the full Jacksonville Jaguars‘ schedule for the 2023 season. After the arrival of Doug Pederson led them to the playoffs last year, the Jaguars will be hoping to build on that this season.

Trevor Lawrence is hoping to continue making a name for himself and elevate his status as one of the NFL’s best QBs. Christian Kirk came a long way toward putting to rest any concerns people may have had about the contract he was given. Additionally, Calvin Ridley is on the way back to returning and will add another explosive element to their offense.

Let’s take a look at the Jaguars’ full schedule, the strength of that schedule, and Jacksonville’s record prediction.

Jacksonville Jaguars Strength of Schedule

The rest of the AFC South is not yet ready to contend with the Jaguars or prevent them from yet another AFC South crown. The Texans are in full rebuild mode, and the Indianapolis Colts are probably doing the same. Yes, they drafted Anthony Richardson, and he could provide some fireworks, but development is still needed. The Tennessee Titans, meanwhile, are a question mark, not only to us but to themselves as well. It isn’t clear what they’re trying to do.

Additionally, the Jaguars will take on the dumpster fire that is the NFC South division. According to PFN NFL Analyst Arif Hasan, the Jaguars have the 22nd-most difficult schedule in football, saying, “The Eagles, Jaguars, and Bengals have the hardest strengths of schedule inside their own divisions despite being the strongest teams in them.”

Jacksonville Jaguars Record Prediction

The Jaguars have set themselves up for yet another postseason run and to repeat as AFC South champions. The rest of the South — in both conferences — are among the weaker teams in all of football. Having those teams make up 10 of their games bodes well for Jacksonville.

Lawrence continuing his development will only aid in that process. Kirk has established himself as a clutch performer. This year, though, with Ridley back and refreshed, he won’t have to do it alone. Ridley’s addition to the roster will be the move we look back on at the end of the season as one that was a true difference-maker for Jacksonville.

Getting Ridley at a low cost, potentially high reward, even though he had to sit out a year, was masterful. The Jaguars made the postseason in the year he was off the field and have added him without needing to break the bank for a high-priced free agent or use a high-round draft pick.

With the ease of their schedule and the upgrades they’ve made to their roster, this could easily be a double-digit win team. It’s not out of the realm of possibility for 10-12 wins, which not only gets them the division but also makes them a contender for a deeper playoff run.

Record Prediction: 11-6
