The Denver Broncos have built their 2025 season on relentless quarterback pressure.
Through nine weeks, they led the NFL with 40 sacks before adding six more in their Thursday Night Football win over the Las Vegas Raiders.
Five of those sacks came in the first half alone against quarterback Geno Smith.
That performance pushed Denver into rare territory.
The Broncos now hold an NFL record for the most dominant pass-rushing stretch through the first ten games in over three decades.
“The Broncos’ 45 sacks on the season are the most by any team in the NFL through the first 10 games of a season since 1990,” Stevens posted on X.

Denver is averaging 4.6 sacks per game this season. That pace projects to 78 total sacks by the end of the year, which would surpass the single-season record of 72 set by the 1984 Chicago Bears.
The Broncos benefit from a 17-game schedule compared to Chicago’s 16-game slate, but their current production through ten weeks remains historically impressive.
Seven different players recorded sacks in the victory over Las Vegas. Outside linebackers Nik Bonitto and Jonathon Cooper each finished with 1.5 sacks.
Defensive linemen Zach Allen and Malcolm Roach contributed one apiece. John Franklin-Myers and Eyioma Uwazurike were each credited with shared sacks.
Bonitto had been held without a sack over the previous three games but now leads the team with 9.5 on the season.
Denver entered Week 10 with 40 sacks and raised that total to 46 after Thursday’s performance.
The Broncos now hold an 18-sack lead over the second-ranked Detroit Lions in the league standings.
