Rich Eisen Sends Message To Giants Fans

The New York Giants haven’t been truly relevant for some time.

Again sitting last in the NFC East, they face a difficult Week 8 matchup against the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles.

Despite New York’s struggles, there’s an energy surrounding the franchise that hasn’t been felt in years.

Much of that excitement stems from breakout rookie performances by quarterback Jaxson Dart and running back Cam Skattebo, who have injected life back into a fan base starved for optimism.

Analyst Rich Eisen recently addressed the renewed buzz and delivered a message about embracing this shift in perspective.

“Giants fans, you know what it’s been like. You know there’s also been no hope. Even when Daniel Jones showed up, he did what he did in the playoffs, and you’re wondering, ‘Is this for real?’ And we found out what the answer was emphatically. We understand what happened with Saquon [Barkley] walking and doing what he did. I understand that you feel that way. The Giants, there’s reason to be excited to watch this team. There’s reason for it. Enjoy that,” Eisen said.

Giants supporters do have something to rally behind after years of disappointment and frustration.

Dart has displayed franchise-QB traits in his four starts since taking over for Russell Wilson.

His decision-making has been sharp, and while not perfect, he’s avoided the costly mistakes that plagued previous seasons for New York.

Skattebo has emerged as a dynamic backfield presence with a fearless running style.

The rookies are bringing a contagious energy that has visibly lifted the entire roster’s performance and attitude on the field.

The defense has matched the offense’s intensity with improved effort and execution despite occasional breakdowns.

A winning record or playoff appearance remains unlikely this season, but the foundation for sustained success is taking shape.

When wide receiver Malik Nabers returns from his knee injury next season, the combination of Dart, Nabers and Skattebo could form a formidable offensive trio.

Moreover, the Giants have quietly assembled intriguing young talent across the roster, including rookie edge rusher Abdul Carter.
