Week 7 of the 2025 NFL season saw the Los Angeles Rams utterly dominate the Jacksonville Jaguars in London, the two oldest quarterbacks in the NFL turn back the clock in a Thursday night shootout, and the New York Jets continue their winless start to the year.
These games, among many others, led to movement in our PFSN power rankings this week compared to last week. Here’s how the league is shaping up six weeks into the season.
32) Tennessee Titans
- Last Week’s Ranking: 32
- Offense Rank: 32
- Defense Rank: 26
- Playoff Odds: 0.70%
Firing head coach Brian Callahan wasn’t enough to turn the Tennessee Titans’ season around, as they fell to 1-6 after getting dominated by the Patriots on Sunday. They remain winless in the three games they’ve hosted thus far.
It’s pretty clear at this point that the Titans are a long way away from being a competitive team in the AFC. With four more divisional games in an AFC South that’s been a lot more difficult to win in, finishing without double-digit losses feels like a pipe dream for Tennessee.
31) New York Jets
- Last Week’s Ranking: 31
- Offense Rank: 30
- Defense Rank: 22
- Playoff Odds: 0.40%
On the plus side, five of the Jets’ seven matchups this year have been decided by one possession. They’re playing competitively against teams on their schedule. The bad news is that they haven’t won a single game this year.
Their losing ways continued on Sunday, scoring only six points in a loss to the Panthers at home. At 0-7, making the playoffs is just about out the window. At this point, it becomes a question of whether or not Aaron Glenn will get a second year as their head coach after this season.
30) Miami Dolphins
- Last Week’s Ranking: 26
- Offense Rank: 23
- Defense Rank: 29
- Playoff Odds: 1.10%
A bad season got even worse for the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, as they were thoroughly outclassed in a loss to the Browns, who themselves haven’t been very good this year. The defense got shelled, and the offense failed to get much of anything going.
“They looked almost disinterested. They looked deflated…” – @CowherCBS discusses the Dolphins performance vs the Browns on Sunday pic.twitter.com/lkZkHpaW24
— NFL on CBS 🏈 (@NFLonCBS) October 19, 2025
Whispers of locker room dysfunction have followed the Dolphins for a while now, and a 1-6 start to the 2025 NFL season won’t do much to alleviate those concerns. Unless they catch fire and start winning all of their games somehow, Mike McDaniel feels like a dead man walking as Miami’s head coach.
29) Las Vegas Raiders
- Last Week’s Ranking: 28
- Offense Rank: 29
- Defense Rank: 28
- Playoff Odds: 4.30%
With how talented NFL players are, it’s pretty rare that a team ever gets shut out. But it happened to the Las Vegas Raiders this week, as they got pummeled by the Chiefs 31-0 in a loss that drops them to 2-5 this season.
It’s been a brutal season for the Raiders, who have seen Geno Smith regress under their watch and their defense struggle significantly. With only a narrow loss to the Bears and a win over the bottom-feeding Titans as positives to come from recent weeks, Las Vegas finds itself in a precarious position.
28) Cincinnati Bengals
- Last Week’s Ranking: 29
- Offense Rank: 28
- Defense Rank: 31
- Playoff Odds: 30.10%
It was an incredibly fun Thursday night shootout this week, but the Cincinnati Bengals picked up the narrow win over the Steelers. They improved to 3-4 in their first victory since Joe Burrow went down with an injury.
The addition of Joe Flacco seems to have injected some life into the Bengals’ offense, which has struggled significantly in Burrow’s absence. Their defense is still one of the worst in the NFL, but if they can stack up a few wins under Flacco, they can stay afloat in the playoff hunt by the time Burrow returns.
27) New Orleans Saints
- Last Week’s Ranking: 29
- Offense Rank: 25
- Defense Rank: 25
- Playoff Odds: 0.90%
Though the New Orleans Saints move up a couple of spots, it’s more about the lackluster play around them than anything. With their 26-14 loss to the Bears on Sunday, their 1-6 record puts them as one of the worst teams in the NFL after Week 7.
Spencer Rattler throwing three interceptions certainly won’t help your case when you’re trying to win a game. The Saints did a solid job limiting Chicago’s passing attack, but the run defense was poor, and the offense was wildly inconsistent.
26) Baltimore Ravens
- Last Week’s Ranking: 25
- Offense Rank: 26
- Defense Rank: 32
- Playoff Odds: 7.90%
The Baltimore Ravens had their bye week in Week 7, and it couldn’t have possibly come at a better time. With several key players injured, including star QB Lamar Jackson, the bye gave them some time to let said players recover. At 1-5, they face an uphill battle to return to the playoffs.
25) Cleveland Browns
- Last Week’s Ranking: 30
- Offense Rank: 31
- Defense Rank: 5
- Playoff Odds: 11.20%
For once this season, the Cleveland Browns thoroughly outclassed their opposition on both sides of the ball. At 2-5, they’re hardly one of the NFL’s elite, but they pummeled the Dolphins 31-6 in a game that made it look like things are on the upswing within the organization.
In a matchup between two one-win teams going into Sunday, the expectation was likely a sloppy slugfest, which saw one team crawl away with the victory. But the Browns looked like the much better team in all aspects in Week 7, granting them their second win of the season and Dillon Gabriel’s first victory as an NFL starting quarterback.
24) Carolina Panthers
- Last Week’s Ranking: 24
- Offense Rank: 20
- Defense Rank: 16
- Playoff Odds: 23.30%
Are things finally turning around for the Carolina Panthers? It wasn’t a pretty victory, but their win over the Jets on Sunday gets them to 4-3 this season and keeps them firmly in the playoff hunt as the 2025 NFL season progresses further.
The Panthers are now winners of three straight and picked up their first win on the road of the season with their victory in New York. That said, those wins have come against two bottom-feeding teams in the Jets and Dolphins, and their other win came against a Cowboys team with an abysmal defense. Wins are wins in the NFL, but more convincing wins over better teams are needed to propel them further.
23) Arizona Cardinals
- Last Week’s Ranking: 21
- Offense Rank: 22
- Defense Rank: 19
- Playoff Odds: 3.40%
It’s clear the Arizona Cardinals are a talented team. They’ve played some of the NFL’s best pretty close, and they only have a -1 point differential through seven games this season. Unfortunately for them, they’re also 2-5.
The Cardinals led the Packers 20-13 heading into the fourth quarter, but they allowed 14 points in the final 15 minutes to blow the lead and pick up the loss. With the talent they have on their roster, the leaders atop the organization need to start questioning why they keep finding ways to lose games.
22) New York Giants
- Last Week’s Ranking: 23
- Offense Rank: 27
- Defense Rank: 23
- Playoff Odds: 5.50%
In one of the craziest blown leads in recent NFL memory, the New York Giants entered the fourth quarter with a 19-0 lead over the Broncos, and they added 13 points on top of that in the fourth. But they still blew their lead in a 33-32 loss that ended in a last-second field goal for Denver.
Losing in such a fashion is likely embarrassing for the Giants, but there’s still good to be taken from the game. Their offense was a well-oiled machine, as Jaxson Dart threw for three touchdowns and 283 yards. That side of the ball seems rejuvenated since their QB switch; it’s now just a matter of getting the defense to stay consistent for all four quarters.
21) Chicago Bears
- Last Week’s Ranking: 20
- Offense Rank: 16
- Defense Rank: 27
- Playoff Odds: 36.30%
It wasn’t as pretty a win as the box score might indicate, but the Chicago Bears picked up the win over the Saints to improve to 4-2 for the 2025 NFL season. Their defense forced four takeaways, and D’Andre Swift led the way on offense with 124 rushing yards and a touchdown.
The Bears started 4-2 last year before collapsing and losing ten games in a row, but that doesn’t feel like that’s around the corner for Ben Johnson’s version of the team. There’s a lot to clean up in the passing game, but the defense has improved in recent weeks, and the offense still continues to move the ball down the field.
20) Jacksonville Jaguars
- Last Week’s Ranking: 17
- Offense Rank: 24
- Defense Rank: 11
- Playoff Odds: 53.10%
With how often the Jacksonville Jaguars play overseas, one would assume that a game in London would practically be a home game for them. That didn’t prove to be the case this year, as they got walloped by the Rams to lose their second game in a row.
The Jaguars still sit at 4-3, so they’re in a great position to compete for a playoff spot for the rest of the season. However, the offense needs to get figured out; in their last two matchups, they’ve only scored a combined 19 points.
19) Dallas Cowboys
- Last Week’s Ranking: 22
- Offense Rank: 4
- Defense Rank: 30
- Playoff Odds: 16.80%
The Dallas Cowboys’ win over the Commanders on Sunday showed what the team can be when they’re playing at their best. They scored 44 points against Washington, getting them to the point where the offense was so good that it didn’t even matter whether their defense showed up or not.
Thankfully for them, the defense did show up in Week 7. Daron Bland returned an interception for a touchdown, and they sacked Washington’s combination of Jayden Daniels and Marcus Mariota four times. It was a decisive victory for Dallas this week.
18) Atlanta Falcons
- Last Week’s Ranking: 14
- Offense Rank: 17
- Defense Rank: 13
- Playoff Odds: 32.50%
Coming off of two consecutive wins, including an upset over the Bills, expectations were high for the Atlanta Falcons heading into their matchup with the 49ers. Unfortunately for them, they only scored ten points in a loss that saw them drop to 3-3.
The Falcons have proven that they can beat just about any team in the NFL. That said, they’ve been incredibly inconsistent, particularly on offense. They should be benefactors of an easy NFC South schedule as the season progresses, but they’ll need to stack some wins outside of the division to get into a position to make the postseason.
17) Houston Texans
- Last Week’s Ranking: 17
- Offense Rank: 18
- Defense Rank: 3
- Playoff Odds: 28.10%
Check back for the Houston Texans’ updated ranking after Monday Night Football.
16) San Francisco 49ers
- Last Week’s Ranking: 18
- Offense Rank: 11
- Defense Rank: 24
- Playoff Odds: 59.00%
A phenomenal performance from Christian McCaffrey, which saw him tally 201 total yards from scrimmage, led the San Francisco 49ers to a win over the Falcons on Sunday night. The victory saw them improve their record to 5-2, even amidst injury issues they’ve experienced on their roster.
Whether it’s been Brock Purdy or Mac Jones at quarterback, the 49ers have been pretty efficient on offense so far this season. They’ll have their work cut out for them once their divisional matchups pick up later in the year, but they have the talent to stay competitive with just about any team in the NFL.
15) New England Patriots
- Last Week’s Ranking: 19
- Offense Rank: 11
- Defense Rank: 15
- Playoff Odds: 85.60%
The New England Patriots come out of Sunday with a four-game winning streak, having taken care of the Titans in a 31-16 victory to improve their record to 5-2. With that win, they’ve already surpassed the win total that last year’s team had under Jerod Mayo.
Mike Vrabel has the Patriots playing at an extremely high level, and Drake Maye deserves a lot of credit, too. He was nearly perfect against Tennessee, completing 21 of his 23 passing attempts with 222 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions.
14) Los Angeles Chargers
- Last Week’s Ranking: 15
- Offense Rank: 19
- Defense Rank: 18
- Playoff Odds: 61.40%
The Los Angeles Chargers’ offense wasn’t even bad on Sunday in their loss to the Colts; their defense just had no answers. They gave up 38 points and didn’t force any turnovers, which typically isn’t a winning formula in the NFL.
With a 1-3 record in their last four games, the Chargers still have a lot to clean up. They got their offense back on track the last two weeks after a poor two-game stretch earlier in the year, but the defense has given up a combined 65 points in the last two games. There’s talent on Los Angeles’ roster; they just need both sides of the ball to show up in the same game.
13) Washington Commanders
- Last Week’s Ranking: 9
- Offense Rank: 8
- Defense Rank: 14
- Playoff Odds: 24.60%
After two consecutive losses, the Washington Commanders find themselves sitting with a 3-4 record at this stage in the 2025 NFL season. They still remain with a solid ranking, as they’re the highest-ranked team on this list with a sub-.500 record. We’re believers in what they’ve shown on both sides of the ball over the course of the year.
But the Commanders simply need to start winning games. Similar to the Chargers, Washington has had games where the offense has shown up tremendously, and they’ve had games where the defense has looked convincing. They have the talent for both sides to come together in the same game, but that hasn’t happened much in recent weeks.
12) Pittsburgh Steelers
- Last Week’s Ranking: 13
- Offense Rank: 12
- Defense Rank: 21
- Playoff Odds: 78.40%
In an entertaining Thursday night matchup between two starting quarterbacks over 40 years old, the Pittsburgh Steelers were the team unable to secure the victory. They still hold the top spot in the AFC North, but the Bengals’ win over them narrows that gap a little bit.
The Steelers still have a 4-2 record, so they’re not necessarily in a state of panic after their loss on Thursday. However, the Bengals are still hanging around in the division at 3-4, and they look like a much more competitive team with Joe Flacco than they did with Jake Browning. Pittsburgh will need to create some more separation atop the division before Joe Burrow returns.
11) Minnesota Vikings
- Last Week’s Ranking: 12
- Offense Rank: 21
- Defense Rank: 4
- Playoff Odds: 40.60%
Though they were coming off their bye week the week before, the Minnesota Vikings didn’t necessarily look like they had the extra time to prepare on Sunday. Their offense was able to move the ball down the field, but two interceptions thrown by Carson Wentz held them back in their loss.
The Vikings weren’t necessarily expected to beat the Eagles this week, but every loss outside of the division counts when you play in the NFC North. 3-3 is hardly a bad record at this stage of the year, but with how strong the division has been, Minnesota currently finds itself in sole possession of last place.
10) Seattle Seahawks
- Last Week’s Ranking: 10
- Offense Rank: 6
- Defense Rank: 7
- Playoff Odds: 58.60%
Check back for the Seattle Seahawks’ updated ranking after Monday Night Football.
9) Denver Broncos
- Last Week’s Ranking: 10
- Offense Rank: 13
- Defense Rank: 1
- Playoff Odds: 81.40%
In one of the craziest comeback wins in recent memory, the Denver Broncos scored 33 points in the fourth quarter and came back to defeat the Giants, improving their record to 5-2 this season in unbelievable fashion.

— Hater Report (@HaterReport_) October 20, 2025
What has usually been an elite defense didn’t do the job for much of the Broncos’ matchup against New York. But a key interception in the fourth quarter was all the offense needed to get the ball back and drive the ball into the end zone. Denver’s offensive execution in the fourth quarter was truly amazing.
8) Philadelphia Eagles
- Last Week’s Ranking: 11
- Offense Rank: 17
- Defense Rank: 13
- Playoff Odds: 81.40%
Having lost two games in a row coming into Sunday, the Philadelphia Eagles felt like a team on the brink of collapsing going into Week 7. All of that changed once the games took place, as they found themselves back in the win column with a 28-22 win over the Vikings on the road.
Things feel a lot better for the Eagles now that they’re 5-2. Most notably, they were able to get their passing attack clicking: Jalen Hurts had his best game of the season with 326 passing yards and three touchdowns in the win over Minnesota.
7) Buffalo Bills
- Last Week’s Ranking: 2
- Offense Rank: 2
- Defense Rank: 12
- Playoff Odds: 94.60%
The Buffalo Bills had their bye week in Week 7, and they currently sit with a 4-2 record. Things have gone pretty smoothly for the most part in the 2025 NFL season, and they’ll look to carry their winning ways into the second half of the year.
6) Detroit Lions

- Offense Rank: 5
- Defense Rank: 12

4) Green Bay Packers
- Last Week’s Ranking: 2
- Offense Rank: 7
- Defense Rank: 9
- Playoff Odds: 77.10%
It wasn’t a pretty win, but the Green Bay Packers came from behind and stole a win over the Cardinals, winning 27-23 in Arizona to bump their record up to 4-1-1. They remain at the top of a competitive NFC North at the end of Week 7.
Green Bay’s defense deserves a lot of credit for how it stepped up, as the unit forced six sacks on Sunday in the victory. Micah Parsons himself had a whopping three sacks in one game, further cementing himself as a strong DPOY candidate. Josh Jacobs also ran for two touchdowns, giving them some of the offensive spark they needed for their comeback.
3) Los Angeles Rams
- Last Week’s Ranking: 7
- Offense Rank: 9
- Defense Rank: 2
- Playoff Odds: 79.80%
The Los Angeles Rams flew into London and thoroughly dominated the Jaguars on both sides of the ball. Their 35-7 win was their largest margin of victory so far in the 2025 NFL season, and their record improved to 5-2 as a result.
After a down performance in Week 6, Matthew Stafford was untouchable in Week 7. He threw for five touchdowns with no interceptions, and three of those touchdowns went to Davante Adams. Throw in a dominant defensive performance, which saw the Rams tally seven sacks, and you have a recipe for success.
2) Kansas City Chiefs
- Last Week’s Ranking: 4
- Offense Rank: 3
- Defense Rank: 6
- Playoff Odds: 74.20%
Concerns over the Kansas City Chiefs’ slow start to the season seem to have died down considerably, as they’re now winners of three of their last four games. Their win on Sunday over the Raiders was their most decisive one yet, as they picked up the 31-0 victory in front of their home crowd in Kansas City.
Patrick Mahomes is playing at an extremely high level this year, and he continued that strong play with 286 passing yards and three touchdowns on Sunday. The Chiefs’ defense also forced the Raiders to punt six times, helping keep a stranglehold on a game where they won the time of possession battle 42:08 to 17:52.
1) Indianapolis Colts
- Last Week’s Ranking: 1
- Offense Rank: 1
- Defense Rank: 20
- Playoff Odds: 97.70%
The Indianapolis Colts continued their winning ways in Week 7, handily defeating the Chargers to improve their record to 6-1 this season. Not only did they convincingly beat a team that made the postseason last year, but they did so on the road.
Winners of three straight coming out of Sunday, the Colts have perhaps been the most surprising team to propel into the top tier of the NFL so far this season. Their defense has fared well against most of their opponents, and their offense has been fantastic. At this rate, the AFC South is theirs to lose.
