Trevor Lawrence Injury Update
Lawrence’s knee was twisted as Colts defender Samson Ebukam took him down near the end of Sunday’s game.
Fortunately, Lawrence walked off the field under his own power. But given that Jacksonville had the game easily in hand, it never appeared likely that Lawrence would re-enter the contest.

The Jaguars listed Lawernce as questionable with a knee injury, but C.J. Beathard was under center for the rest of the game.
As injury analyst Jeff Mueller noted, the Jaguars could theoretically be concerned that Lawerence suffered MCL or meniscus damage on the play above. But it’s too early to speculate, especially given that Jacksonville was leading 37-20 when Lawrence departed.

For what it’s worth, Lawrence appeared to be walking relatively normally — if slightly gingerly — when heading to the locker room after the Jaguars’ win.
Jacksonville faces a short turnaround, with a Thursday night game against the New Orleans Saints on tap in Week 7. As such, even a minor injury for Lawrence could affect his status for TNF.
After the game, Lawrence admitted that he felt some “discomfort” in his knee right after going down but soon “realized” he could get up and leave the field. He’ll have his knee examined either Sunday night or Monday.
“Feel pretty good,” Lawrence said. “Walking around all right. I can’t really say much now but want to make sure everything’s checked out before [Thursday night].
” … It’s a little bit bruised, too, so just trying to kind of sort through what it is now.”
The Jaguars don’t appear to have much concern about Lawrence’s knee, according to ESPN’s Cameron Wolfe, who added a “crisis” seems to have been averted in Jacksonville.
On Monday, NFL Network described Lawrence as day-to-day, noting he will have an MRI done on his knee. The “hope” is that he will be ready for Thursday’s game.
Fantasy Fallout From Lawrence’s Injury
Beathard is the backup option in Jacksonville. If you thought we had problems with the Jacksonville receivers through six weeks, it won’t get any easier if Lawrence misses time.
Christian Kirk’s slot role is more transferrable than the field-stretching big-play role of Calvin Ridley, especially if we get Zay Jones back sooner rather than later.
If Lawrence is sidelined, Kirk and Ridley should be considered low-end WRs at best, with Evan Engram remaining a locked-in TE starter. The run game would take a step back, but not enough to drastically impact the value of Travis Etienne Jr.
